Was watching "Desperate Housewives" last night with my H. So much cheating on that show. Is this funny? Is this supposed to be entertaining? Maybe if i didn't really know what it felt like to be betrayed i would see the humor in it...instead i only felt sad. Sad for fictitious characters. Why don't they show the real effect of what betrayal does to a person...i guess that isn't so entertaining. Sorry for the venting, just a little frustrated.

Completely understandable. But then again, maybe it's that heat wave we're having in Chicago that's making you think nutty.

The character of a person is defined by their actions...not their intentions. Otherwise, the world would be full of Saints.

Hey, balance episodes of "Desperate (Cheating) Housewives" with a show I saw on the WB network a couple weeks ago called simply "Cheaters." It's a reality show about betrayed spouses (and girlfriends/boyfriends) who go to "Cheaters" and ask them to do surveillance on the wayward spouse/bf/gf to see if they are actually cheating. I think the show is filmed in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and broadcast nationally.

The episode I saw had the show’s private investigators following a man’s 44 year old wife around, catching her going into a motel room with one man and into the back seat of her SUV with another. Some days later, they busted her in a bar on another “date” with one of the guys. They had lights, cameras, a confrontational husband, and scornful barroom customers who were looking on delightedly. All I could think of was that this was exposure with a capitol “E.” Whew!

The woman later cowered in an alley outside and complained to the show’s host that she couldn’t believe her husband would humiliate her this way. Any BS’s heard that line before? Anyway, it felt good to see a WS caught red-handed without any way to wiggle out of it. Has anyone else seen this program?
