today is my 17th anniversary. no one has said a word. I mean really, what could I expect them to say. I'm just sitting here wallowing in my misery, thinking about all of the things we're never going to do together again.

anniversaries have always been special for us. we always go away, even if it's just overnight. I was remembering last year when he gave me a beautiful past, present, future necklace. who would have thought our future wouldn't last even another year.

I am so down, so sad and missing him so much. I don't know how I'm going to make it through.

Iamsolost...

i just said a little prayer for you. i can understand your sitch. my H left 2 days before our 10 year. We had to sign some papers for our mortgage on our anniversary...he never even mentioned anything. acted as though it was any other day. Like you guys, our anniversaries were very special.

I too know exactly how you feel. i know that doesn't help but i pray God will give you peace to get thru this hard day.

take care of yourself and know that prayers are being said for you!

God Bless! Jaysmom

I went through my 20th a few months ago, and it was brutal, so I understand how you feel. I'm saying a little prayer for you.

Iamsolost,

I am so sorry your feeling this. My WH moved out the day before our 24th anniversary. I thought I would die that next day as he came to our home and removed more of his stuff. Not a word was ever said about it.

As hard as it is you will make it through the day, try and do something special for yourself or call a friend. The special days are hard but they get easier as the time goes by. You are in my prayers ......

I'm so sorry you're hurting.

My divorce was 2 days after our anniversary. Anniversary was 6/12 and divorce day was 6/14. I choose to acknowledge the day in between..."6/13." It marks the day between old endings and new beginnings. Weird, I know, but it worked for me.

I know this is hard, IamSoLost, so just try to hang in there. Take Care...

Thanks and I'm sorry that you had to go through this too. I made it through the day but the feelings of pain are still here today. My husband called here 6 times to talk to our daughter and each time he asked "where is your mother" but when she asked if he wanted to talk to me, he said no.

It's said that God never gives us more than we can handle. I hope it's true.
