But I could tell ya some stories <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Lem, your hospital is not like Grey's Annatomy...is it? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Grey's anatomy has to be the worst medical drama show ever created. The medical advisors on that show should have their licenses revoked. I mean, I understand the need for drama...but come on.....not even semi-realistic.....they only have 2 senior surgical attendings dating interns...only 2? come on <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Aahhhhaaaa...Binder I just spewed ginger ale all over my keyboard with that comment (some through my nose)!

That's the funniest thin I have heard all day <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Lem, I hope you're not build like this are you? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Hel Lem last week on the show, after the super bowl, they had a "code black". Does that really exist?

BTW, did you have a superbowl party?

HTW:

In my hospital we don't have a "code black"...LOL.

We have code blue - Cardiac arrest in progress
We have code red - Serious trauma en route to the ED (usually VERY bad)
We have code orange - Unruly patient or family member who needs physical restraint
We have code yellow - fire in the hospital (99% is a false alarm)

And for the RN's here who probably know this all to well...there is "Code brown"....probably the worst of all codes. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yes, I did have a SB party (lousy game)....I am in slight mourning with the end of the season....only 2 1/2 months till the draft though.

<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Those poor nurses...I could never do the job they do. My hat is off to them.

I remember when my DD was just born and she wouldn't stop screaming. It was 2:30am and my WW and I were at our wits end. This wonderful nurse came in and offered to take our DD with her to the newborn room (I don't know the exact name) and watch her for a few hours.

That gave my WW and I a chance to get some much needed shut eye and I was extremely impressed with her generosity.

Like I said, it takes a special person to do what they do. God knows I couldn't do that.

Hey! I wanna job where I can sit around all day, get paid, and watch soaps and read cosmo...

wow!

what a profession I've entered!

Paging Dr. Blackie to General Hospital? Darn it...where's john stamos when I need him stat?

Pleeeeaze...

to hope and pray...to shadpoo..

YOU'RE BOTH QUITE PREJUDICED IMHO...

and obviously have watched yourselves far too many soaps and maybe even desperate housewives?

I am a professional. My workplace is where healing occurs. serious and life changing decisions are made daily.

wanna know my day today? Hmmm....constant motion...staying on top of about five situations at one time...dealing with making sure my therapy patients and studies are not only accomplished more than proficiently, but cross checking what the referring doctors sent w/patients to make sure I have adquate histories and lab values when applicable so I can even do the darn procedures.

lunch? oh that. that was 15 minutes and was working while eating. No cosmo for me. No time spent in broom closets necking with interns...and no I don't see any broom closet behaviors with ANYBODY I work with...

I did date a pa I once worked with...BUT WE WERE SINGLE...and very very professional. I have dated a resident...BUT HE'S AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL.

I prefer to think I am attracted to those who are "like minded" as myself...not that they must work in the healing arts, but must be intelligent, and motivated and positive...also educated. I don't spend my days perusing the halls of my institution looking for a good time. and can't say that I know of anybody there that does....

and bad behaviors happen IN ALL WORKPLACES. all of them. but I don't see a ton of it in the medical world.

imho...HAPPENS IN BUSINESS WORLD MUCH MORE...as my xh has had affairs with realtors, secretaries, and pharmaceutical sales reps.

go back to bon bon eating and soap watching as the real world just doesn't work the way you two say it does...

signed,
your health professional aka as peach...who incidentally has been certified by a phd as "very very emotionally healthy and fit" ...

LOL.........JP....almost on cue.... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> you da girl...

I really don't have the tolerance tonight for such innanity so I had some fun with it. This is a pretty good example of "displacement"...I learned that in Psychology 100 in college (I made an A in that class.. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

Yes, when I walk into the ICU and just clear my throat, instantly a plethora of nurses, resp techs and administrative partners let me know that they are ready and willing as I feel the need. It is awesome actually. From 7-9 pm I get all the Sex I want and then go to the OR and remove someone's ruptured spleen, and then when I am done, I get to have the head OR nurse in the lounge shower....That is the reason I am tired all of the time.

MD=Sex (unlimited amounts)... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Ya, and now I know why they have so many storage closets in hospitals...and it's not for storage. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Lem...paging Dr. Lem.

Wanna know about the night I spent at the hospital? It was SOOOO WILD...oooooh.

I finished my last stat ER patient about 3 am..had to go on duty at seven am....so I slept on the OBGYN EXAM TABLE IN THE ULTRASOUND ROOM...

is that hot or what?

lmoa.

When I need a "fix" for fantasy drama...nothing like Wisteria lane baby...when I think of all the desperate housewife sex I could be having...

gotta go. Must pack my bag for this call weekend! Hmmm...let's see what will go in Peach's Professional Medical Bag O Fun!

1)scented condoms...for my fun in broom closet
2)dog earred pages bent back in my favorite Cosmo Issues...and you thought we were only masters of medical procedures and protocols!
3)victoria's secret thongs to match all my scrub colors
4)bon bons, starbucks coffee card
5)National Enquirer. Star. Harlequin Romance Novels...to give me inspiration when i "cruise the halls" lookin for love in all the sterilized places
6)satin sheets "in case" I have to do a sleepover at hospital...gotta keep my call room/bodoir at its sexy best in case I find a hot intern in the ER...or a male nurse...oh well...any hotblooded man in scrubs will do!
7)the REQUISITE "cheating medical professional secret pager and cell phone" that we all carry...or didn'tcha know about that one? It's our "booty call phones" we carry on our hips when we walk around the ICU/ER/Dept.'s...it ONLY looks like we use it for work...it is really so we can get the 411 on which broom closets are in use and which ones are free

that much fun will be edited by the moderators sadly.
