It's been about two weeks since my wife initiated the NC. She's been depressed but has admitted to me that it feels like a weight has been lifted off her life. We're laughing together, enjoying our kids and doing things I never thought we'd do again.

I have even caught myself wanting to fall back into old habits and have stopped, taking those caught times and truning them into deposits into her bank.

There's still a long way to go, but the best advice I can give from what I've learned, is to turn it over to God and get out of his way. I did what I was told, and what I needed to do in the way of loving her. I couldn't convince her to change her mind, God had to do that and he did.

Now she's once again talking about our plans for the future, moving to another city and eventually taking up the youth pastor's positions we were offered. Once this is all mended and our marriage healed, that woman is going to have a beautiful ministry to young women.

I owe this all to God, and nobody can take that from me.
