I used key logger & found a couple head scratchers, I will post them later so y'sll can pick it clean for me. What techniques have you used? What have you found? And how did you know just what you had found? I think this will help us use your ideas to snoop, Plus Know what we have found! ! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I never used a program or spy ware... I guess I just got a natural gift to hack.... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I was able to collect data, save direct conversations, validate email addys, phone numbers and contact info...
Sometimes what you may find does not fit the image of who you are spying on... REMEMBER the alien!!!! This was a hard one for me.....
Hold back all LB's and don't let a single one thru when you confront them with what you have.... confront with love... LOTS OF LOVE.... no anger .....

Well, since you asked....
I too didn't use a keylogger. I hacked her IM/email accounts, enabled logging on her IM sessions, and came back in a few days later. What prompted me to do this was when I realized she was trying to close chat windows and keep me from seeing what was in them. So, that nite that this occurred, I waited til she was in bed and got the log going. This is the first few lines of what I found;
5/7/2004 8:49:13 AM WW huggers good morning hon <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> 5/7/2004 8:49:29 AM OM *-) 5/7/2004 8:49:40 AM WW (ip) (This was their 'signal' that it was clear to talk...I wasnt in the room) 5/7/2004 8:49:59 AM OM I LOVE YOU 5/7/2004 8:50:08 AM OM god I missed you lastnight <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> 5/7/2004 8:50:16 AM WW I love you too [OM] 5/7/2004 8:50:29 AM OM are you ok baby>? 5/7/2004 8:50:31 AM OM ? 5/7/2004 8:50:33 AM WW I missed you too 5/7/2004 8:50:39 AM OM something seems "wrong? 5/7/2004 8:50:45 AM WW nope 5/7/2004 8:50:52 AM OM promise? 5/7/2004 8:50:55 AM WW promise 5/7/2004 8:51:42 AM WW just didnt sleep well again and laid in bed and thought a lot thismorning 5/7/2004 8:51:52 AM OM is that good or bad 5/7/2004 8:51:58 AM OM I mean for me 5/7/2004 8:52:08 AM WW nothing has changed hon 5/7/2004 8:52:21 AM OM <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> 5/7/2004 8:52:21 AM WW I still love you 5/7/2004 8:52:27 AM WW I still want us
This went on for about 5 days worth of chat logs (how long it took until I was able to get access to her computer again). The morning I read this, I was poleaxed. I emailed the chat log to two of my personal and work addresses. I took my son to school, went to work, called my boss and told him that I was going to have to take the week off due to a major family emergency and tried to read through the rest of the chat at work. I couldn't...kept getting sick. WW called me about 20 min after I'd gotten to work...I hadn't told her goodbye that morning because of what I'd found. She asked me what was wrong...I emailed the chat log back to her, and told her to look in her inbox and I'd be right home.
So...there wasn't much doubt in my mind what I'd found.
Wow...I hadn't pulled that file up in a LONG time. It's amazing how much that hurts to read, even given how well we've recovered.

Owl,
I hear ya.... pulling old hacked history up can bring up some nasty feelings... but look at it like this.... WHAT IF you didn't do the things you did and let things go, BECAUSE IT WAS EASIER instead of trying to make right what was once wrong in you M....
where you were and where you are should say alot since that was 2 years ago.....

sounds kind of familiar.. I guess you guys are right! things do happen in kind of the same pattern.I really need to find out how y'all got in to those rooms. I can't seem to get in or even find the addy for them. This gal erases a lot of stuff. I get a lot of this from key logger {bacspsce} in a long string 0r a word like SpIdEr on a long string . can't really read much but what I get is awful!! but the adresses are mostly gone too. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

If she is savvy, she may have spyware detection on the machine which can block your attempts.....not sure.. cuz I never needed that type of software....
Toolman,
Hang in there and look to MB for support when you need it most..... it helps to vent here and seek advice...
Is she emailing or IMing or chatting... any idea?

I use Keylogger too. I think she's onto it though because she doesn't send him anymore emails.
I also have a friend that's a PI <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Former sniper, real sneaky sneaky guy. In a matter of minutes I had his address, license plate number, phone number, age weight ect, hehehe. Really made my day.
Only thing I've used though is his and his parents address to send the exposure letters too.

Fourthnail-
Your post made me crack up. It scared my wife to no end when she realized that I knew what was going on. That same morning I sent the log to my wife (d-day morning), she begged and pleaded with OM to be careful. She was deathly afraid that I was going to go after him. He laughed it off, thinking it was 'sweet' that she was worried about him.
I waited a day or two before I truly considered doing anything against OM. But, it was later that week I decided to get some intel.
It took me two hours to get his home phone, work phone, direct extension, work address (to include cube # and location), home address, parking area, start/end times for his work day. I even realized that he lived within a half mile of his work...and thanks to a chatty admin clerk, I knew what route he walked to and from work, and exactly what times he came in and left work. I had his make/model number of his vehicle, and his license plate number. I even found out where it was parked in his apt complex. Of course, I also had a full description of OM as well, as well as some info on his personal history (where he was from, background on his military service, info on his divorce and info on his previous wife as well).
It's a good thing I decided that it was better not taking action. LOL! He figured I'd show up someplace and try to 'fight' him. My wife knew a LOT better than that...she asked me later what I'd considered, and had outlined several things that had crossed her mind!
Even about a year later when we were finishing up our MC...our counselor asked if she knew (something) about OM. She laughed and said she'd totally forgotten...thought about it for a moment, turned and looked at me and said "Well, I'd bet BS remembers!" And she busted up laughing when I gave the MC the answer to the question from memory!
I can relate friend!

I didn't have to spy. My FWH is a slob and always leaves his papers etc all over the house. I "discovered" via credit card bills left in plain sight on the kitchen table and word documents saved on the desk top, and of course just by looking at the number of calls made to OW on his cell phone.
On d-day, I told him that he had 24 hours to get rid of anything he had pertaining to OW or it was over. I still think I did the right thing there, because I certainly don't want to find any of the old crap that will freshen the pain.

There is a key logger that is not detectable to spyware. It attaches to the key board...it costs some "cake" but you know what..sometimes you need to be smarter than your average bear.....

Nice!! Funny thing about it, this clown lives about 20 minutes away from Camp Lejeune, my former stomping grounds. I have many, many friends still there on base and in the city's local PD. All I'd have to do to get the ultimate wake up call going is to have a couple friends find him and snap a good photo or two of him, his truck, his house and office <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Man, I've played that fun little scenario over and over in my BHG for months now <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I had posted on another BH's thread about how people like OM's snicker at the thought of them taking advantage of military wives like his and mine. Many don't realize that there's a giant brotherhood out there that absolutely despises those guys and would love a chance to stand by their brothers and provide a wake up call of their own. People are stupid. FN

Due to the nature of this converstaion, and Toolmans humor, I could not resist adding this joke.
Hitman playing golf:
Two old friends were just about to tee off at the first hole of their local golf course when a chap carrying a golf bag called out to them, "Do you mind if I join you? My partner didn't turn up."
"Sure," they said, "You're welcome." So they started playing and enjoyed the game and the company of the newcomer.
Part way around the course, one of the friends asked the newcomer, "What do you do for a living?"
"I'm a hit man," was the reply.
"You're joking!" was the response.
"No, I'm not," he said, reaching into his golf bag, and pulling out a beautiful Martini sniper's rifle with a large telescopic sight. "Here are my tools."
"That's a beautiful telescopic sight," said the other friend, "Can I take a look?..."
"I think I might be able to see my house from here." So he picked up the rifle and looked through the sight in the direction of his house.
"Yeah, I can see my house all right. This sight is fantastic. I can see right in the window. Wow, I can see my wife in the bedroom. Ha Ha, I can see she's naked!
What's that? Wait a minute, that's my neighbor in there with her. He's naked as well! The b*tch!" He turned to the hit man, "How much do you charge for a hit?"
"I do a flat rate, for you, one thousand dollars every time I pull the trigger."
"Can you do two for me now?"
"Sure, what do you want?"
"First, shoot my wife, she's always been mouthy, so shoot her in the mouth. Then the neighbor, he's a mate of mine, a bit of a lad, so just shoot his d**k off to teach him a lesson."
The hit man took the rifle and took aim, standing perfectly still for a few minutes. "Are you going to do it or not?" said the friend impatiently.
"Just wait a moment, be patient," said the hit man calmly, "I think I can save you a thousand dollars here....."

Fourth-
I'm ex-Army myself. And I led one of those 'interesting' military careers myself. So my shortly after d-day my wife worried about pretty much one of two scenarios...
Either I'd take the drive and give the OM a few small caliber presents myself, or I'd just make a call or two and OM would turn up missing at some point. He thought it was cute that she would worry about him...SHE knew that I am completely capable of doing whatever needs to be done, or getting any assistance I'd like to bring in on something like that.
And I agree...preying on military/ex-military just CAN'T be the smartest thing to do!

Ahhhh, the Good Ol Days.
Remembering 29 Palms, CA & its 50/60 to One male to female ratio .......all while being stuck out in the desert... with No car. Ooohhh Raaaaa!
Got out so that I could come back to east coast to be with W. Hmmmmm, scratching head over that one some days. J/K (I think??)
Anywhooo, as to the Question: what did I FIND??
I found another man's semen all over my W's panties. Not Pleasant, but at least that was the catalyst to stop Most of the lies and which then ultimately ended the A and the CLB's Job. (creepy little b@st@rd, that is)
Sure wish now that'd I'd have gotten one of those automatic recorders to place in her car. Cause although all the sex took place at work, from browsing our cell phone records ..... they sure did a lot of talking in their cars.
With my curious nature I'd have preferred to hear it exactly as it happened as opposed to my W's more "edited" retellings.

After D-day I bugged the house phone (insurance the A was over). Overheard a 45 min coversation the FWW had with a female friend confirming everything she told me about it being over was true. It was even nice to hear her tell her friend how good things were at home (something she had not told me).
I was a few months from retiring from the USN when this all went down. A good friend who had just relocated back from CENTCOM (Specops buddy) was very interested in assisting me to ensure this guy would pose no further problems. I thanked him for his concern, and told him if there were any further communication or problems initiated by this guy, he (my buddy) would be the first to know.
Thank God we never heard from him again.
