This is my first post so I'll give a bit of background.Been married 22 years, 4 kids, a son 20, daughter 19, a son 16 and a son 14.On July 29/06 my wife left her home and family to be with her affair partner.Since then the kids have refused to have any contact with her.I don't see how she can cope without the kids being part of her daily life but she is doing it.With no support from the kids will the fog eventually lift?

She has abandoned you and your children. It is absolutely critical that you contact an attorney immediately to understand the legal ramifications of all of this and what you need to do to protect yourself and your children.

when my wife left I don't feel she saw herself as abandoning the kids. She assumed, foolishly I suppose, that they would have no problem with her decision and would have a normal relationship with her.

WS often live in the sick fantasy that what they are doing is really okay and will not hurt anyone. Read your words above again. Does this sound like a normal healthy person to you?

As Bryan said, you need to contact an attorney immediately. Doing so might be the big splash of cold water that your WW needs right now.

Do not believe ANYTHING your WW says right now.
