Quite some time ago, my WH asked me to locate his birth certificate for him.... This morning he leaves a vm saying that is was an "emergency" (since I asked him not to leave me any vm's unless it was an emergency) asking me to get last year's tax return information to him. I am assuming he wants 2004-2005 since we just got our return from 2005-2006 completed this month.
He said that he was able to get his birth certificate from his mom and now needed the tax return.
What in the world could he need that for?
And he is once again stepping over my boundaries b/cause he could have very well left me a note in the mailbox for that instead of calling me. But, hey, I've not enforced my boundaries previously so he probably figures he can ignore this request also.
Anybody have a guess at what he needs those things for?
Thanks!
Kim

Hi Kimberly,
First I would say that it might be better to try not to spend a lot of time analyzing your WH's behaviour. I know that's hard to do, but still I would recommend that you conserve your mental/emotional energy for things that are more directly helpful to yourself.
But, since you asked, I'll take some guesses.
Tax returns are often used as proof of income. There are a number of situations in which a person might need to prove income, the most common of which is in trying to obtain a loan. Another case is in sponsoring a person for immigration.
The birth certificate might be required to apply for a passport or to travel to Canada or Mexico without a passport. Also, it could be used in connection with an immigration matter.
Is OW an immigrant?
