Thanks...actually I enjoy it. I can't just sit still and watch TV, so having something to do with my hands while listening to the TV helps a lot.
Not to mention I like to learn all kinds of stuff. Growing up out in the country, I learned to hunt, fish, trap, etc... as a kid and have taught that to my kids. Was in martial arts for years, have recently gotten back into that and am now instructing again.
Adding something like crocheting in there just makes it kinda different.

All this talk about Americans living and working in America reminds me...
Oh yeah, I'm an American living in another country.
I have worked three jobs in my six years of being here:
1. call centre representative 2. diner counter clerk 3. temp coverage for maternity leave in accounting department, which is where I am now (until the end of this month, actually).
This, despite having years of experience working at a college, along with years of professional experience in banking and offices... along with a degree (in liberal arts ) and tons of specialized training.
I won't say that Canada is a third-world country, obviously, but work is VERY hard for me to find... and a GOOD PERMANENT JOB has been impossible. I could tell you so many stories, Suzet, of what I've dealt with here... including homelessness. Please hear me: My H and I have been homeless, car-less and have, through the years, sold everything we owned just to eat. We've been to food banks. We've walked in the snow. I get the fears.
And, as I've said to you before (and it has also been said to me when I'm freaking out with fear) ... You have NO IDEA what GOD can do if only you LET HIM and QUIT trying to manipulate the circumstances.
I'm learning it in my situation, too.
I don't hate you, Suzet, or wish you anything except a renewed marriage. And while starfish, owl and a few others will give you hugs (edited to add: which I know feel very nice)... I am giving you understanding that is different than what you'll get from them. I've been where you are - in every way.
My last word to you on this thread (unless you ask something specifically and I'm here to read it) is this: Can you look at yourself in the mirror (deep in your own eyes) and see a woman free from the shackles of this affair? If you can, then you have nobody to seek approval from, and nobody to answer to. But if you can't... it will haunt you. I know.

so having something to do with my hands while listening to the TV helps a lot. I don't know about you but in my household I get to hold the TV remote in my hands and flip, flip, flip while watching TV. Does she make you watch the cooking channel while you Crochet? Or maybe Oprah??? I'm just cutting up...however, we could use some pot-holders are your items available on ebay???? W

Suzet has very clearly made up her mind on this...a long time ago, I believe...Seems pretty cut and dried from my P.O.V....That's her story and she's sticking to it...to the detriment of her marriage IMO... Mrs. W P.S. NOTE TO MR. W...I DO NOT WANT CROCHETED POT HOLDERS FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

Aramis...
Are you still having trouble finding the other boards??? As I recall, you haven't been either a WS or a BS...Looks to me as though you really don't have a dog in this fight, right?
Mrs. W [/quote]
I wasn't looking for the other boards and you're right, I haven't had an affair but I do have an opinion and as far as I have read ,Dr.Harley hasn't had one either and this is his site.

I wasn't looking for the other boards Looks like this troll has never attempted to look for the EN forum as (he) said he was going to. In look at all this user's posts, they all remain on the infidelity board. Since you seem so intent to continue to voice you opinion here, what is your qualification? At least we can say that Dr. Harley has spent years of research on the subject even if never having had the personal experience. Why should we care what you have to say on the subject? That's what we want to know. Beyond that, you're just the worst kind of pathetic troll.

Thanks Pio...Couldn't have said it better myself!!! From "Deodorant Boy's" posts under the title "Where are the real Marriage Builders?", when being directed to the other boards he claimed then he was looking for... Not looking for help for affairs, never had one or been the victim. I thought this was a general questions board.I could use help in that area. I didnt see the Infidelity that was the problem. Thanks again Upon being instructed to go to the EN board he said... Thank you believer, I should go there As Pio pointed out, he has never posted there...hmmm...sniff, sniff... CHECK PLEASE! Mrs. W

Suzet
I know we have a skills shortage for IT architects and other software folks in Johannesburg. Is that too far for your H to commute ?
Our office is on Rivonia road,in Sandton.
If its not too far, perhaps I could find out what vacancies there are and get them to you somehow ? Thanks for your offer Bob – I appreciate it very much! (I already mentioned your offer to my H this morning and he says thanks too!) We live approximately *** km from that area, so although it’s far, it will not be too far for my H to commute. We will therefore appreciate if you can find out. The e-mail address where you can send the information to (my H’s e-mail) is ***************. Please keep in mind that although my H has expert knowledge and experience in the IT field (hardware/software & also ** years experience), he has never completed any formal tertiary qualification (diploma/degree) in that field. I mention this in case formal qualifications will be a definite requirement in some of your company’s vacancies for IT. Currently my H is doing an ************* course and has completed 5 out of 7 modules already. After completion he is also going to do the ************* course. In case you’re not familiar with this course - in Europe it’s called ****************. As I’ve told you before, every company my H has applied to for jobs so far (except for one), rejected his application/showed disinterest the moment they’ve found out about his dismissal. Even after my H has explained to them the circumstances around his dismissal (that he was victimized and unfairly dismissed) they were still not interested. So actually my H can’t wait for his court case to get resolved so that his name can get “cleared”. As you know my H’s case is coming up this month, so the outcome of the court case (whether he will get re-instated in his previous job or only receive compensation with no re-instatement) will determine the way forward. But whatever is going to happen, we will still look out for job opportunities elsewhere. Thanks again! God Bless you, Suzet

Suzet I have your H's mail adress now, so you can delete it if you want.
I'll see what I can do.

If a CV is submitted by an existing employee it is ALWAYS assessed. External applications are skimmed for "chancers" without any appropriate experience. Nominations from existing employees are considered to be worth a look.
So still worth trying IMO.
How about YOUR skills Suzet ? Is there a role type I should look for in my company for YOU ?

How about YOUR skills Suzet ? Is there a role type I should look for in IBM for YOU ? Yes Bob, I will appreciate that too. My qualifications are as follows: *************** The above qualifications were obtained at a ******** approximately ** years ago. I’ve done some short-courses and workshops in the meantime. I have ** years experience as **************. The degree I’ve completed was specifically about *************, but unfortunately I’ve never obtained any work experience in that area. At this stage I don’t have my own vehicle or drivers license, so I mostly depend on my H for transport too and back from work, so the ideal thing for me and my H will be to work in an area/area(s) not too far from each other. Bob, please keep in mind that my H will not be able to accept any job offers until his court case is finished (otherwise his application in the court for re-instatement and full back-pay will automatically lapse and at this stage - with the court date so close - there is too much at stake). The case is scheduled for 5 days from the 20th November so hopefully the case will get fully resolved in that week. If not, it will continue early next year (probably late January or early February). After that (whenever the court case gets finished), my H will be free to take any other job he can get whether he gets re-instated or not. In the case of re-instatement he must give 30 days notice if he resigns. The same applies to me. Thanks again Bob. Both my H & I appreciates this very much...

Bob, please inform me if you’re finished reading my previous post and have all me and my H’s details printed or written down so I can delete any unnecessary personal details of both of us from the posts.

While Mr. Pure seems to be making a nice gesture, to my way of thinking, it borders on unethical from the business standpoint. If his company needs people of a certain skill, they would have advertised it. Suzet, being desperate to leave her current position, would have jumped at the interview, gotten the job and problem solved.
OTOH, it could end up that Mr. Pure has to fit a round peg into a square hole and place somebody less qualified for the position required in order to save a marriage. The reason this is bordering in unethical is that, unless Mr. Pure owns this company, he is running the risk of diminishing the company's performance for humanitarian reasons. Shareholders don't usually like those kinds of things. Maybe Suzet and BH are the ideal candidates. That would solve everyone's problem. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
