I know it's not here yet, but I am already stressing and worrying about how to deal with this coming V day........

I found out about WH's A 7 mos. ago. A was with my "illusioned" bestfriend and neighbor, lasting 4 1/2 years.

OW has since moved. As far as I know there has been no contact (I am secretly monitoring everything). WH also sent "no contact" letter 5 months ago.

Last Valentines Day my WH was with OW.

Time to reclaim Valentine's Day. It is a huge trigger for BS's. Plan something special with hubby.

For the rest of us, who have not recovered the marriage, let's all plan something nice, for US, for Valentine's Day.

I feel for you. WH is still in an affair. He bought the OW a Christmas present. I can't get it out of my head that he is going to take her out on V-Day. But, if I'm to do Plan A, I am supposed to just grin and bear it, get him something nice while he takes her out. He won't get out on dates with me, so if I plan something for us, it will end up just being me.
Since the OW has moved for you, definitely plan something great!

Oh, yeah, Valentine's Day is BIG for the infidels. That is why it is good to plan ahead for something nice for you.

I think it might be too soon for you to want to celebrate Valentines. You are recovering from a Long Term Affair and OW was your 'best friend'. This must have been devastating to discover. If it took 5 years to undo your marriage, it could easily take as long to fix it.

Was Valentines special to you and your husband before the A?

Have you checked out the Recovery Forum at all? There are some posters there whose spouses were also involved in long term affairs and perhaps they'll be able to advise you how they dealt with Valentines and other special occasions in the first year after the A.

Take care. TT
