I truly cannot believe how consistant all the stories and the behaviors are in these affair triangles. I get some sort of comfort in seeing the clinical sort of stretegic plans that are taking place here.

I read this board in 2002 and then here and there afterward. I read more books though and didn't come here much to the actual boards. I've taken the time to read now because I was finding that after knowing that my M was unhealthy for a long time and of course there was an EMA - I had not fully recovered after almost four years.

On my last thread I got some great advice when I opened up about my inability to move forward. I decided that possibly there was information on this board that I needed to shed some light on what I didn't do to recover. Well this has done some of that for me.

Gosh! I am completely shocked by the abuse some people here have experienced and it reminds me of just how strong I really was/am. I can't believe what I have been through and continue to cope with.

There is so much to learn in life. When you go to High School you say to your parents, "I wish I would have known..." then go to college, same thing, marriage, same thing, babies, same thing and then AN AFFAIR??? That's the whopper of them all. I SAY WHAT'S NEXT????? It's almost scary! LOL

Just thought I'd react to all the reading I've been doing. Life is just crazy!

Sooner,

I have been here a long time and I must say that the thing that really really hit me early on was the similarity, the consistency of behavior, the very mimicing of words "I love you but not in love with you", etc. It is like everyone is reading from a script.

Then I realized that is precisely why Harley's approach does work. It is organized, it is actually clinical, it is balanced, and it works because...most of the situations are the same.

It is not a one size fits all, but just as in human's you don't need an infinite range of sizes either, a little tailoring and you have what you need.

I do hope you continue to read and learn, and be amazed.

BUT, there is one thing you may be missing. To me the most amazing thing about this place is the strength, hope, and will the people here display. It is really awesome.

God Bless,
JL

I'm trying to figure out how to tell my story because it's something that happened from 2000 and on. But the WH was somewhere between 1999/2000 and 2002/3. NC was slow and painfully annoying! LOL I need to go home now but I'll be back!

JL, I am in 150% agreement with you. The strength of everyone is amazing. I will NEVER forget when I had solid proof in hand. NEVER and I will never forget how much I cried. ****** no! But all is different now, not perfect but different. I'm glad for that.
