..but you guys are in my thoughts daily. I would never have made it this far without the support I recieved here at MB.

I wanted to give those that remember me a little update and for some of the newbies a little hope.

D-Day 2nd anniversary is approaching. Not a day to celebrate but I don't think its a day I will ever forget.

H & I are actually doing REALLY well. He is meeting my EN and allowing me to meet his. He is kind, respectful, appreciative and affectionate. There is no site of WH anywhere!!! This is the man I married the alien has gone back to the mothership!

I judge our progress by landmarks going through the day to day has been such a blur, a nightmare I didn't think I would wake up from.

My birthday
2005 (before d-day in midst of A) I had gotten tickets for a show and made arrangements for the 2 of us to getaway for the weekend. He refused to go. I went w/ my sister instead.

2006 (A over but contact w/ OW continued) He bought presents for me from the kids. Took us out to dinner but refused to have cake w/ my parents. Actually totally avoided my family.

2007 (on the road to recovery)On Friday night we went out to dinner w/ my parents (his treat) sang "Happy Birthday" at the restaurant to totally embarrass me. Saturday night went out to dinner w/ friends again did the "happy Birthday" at the restaurant. This time I thought it was pretty funny not so embarrassed. On my actual birthday Made me breakfast in bed, made me Queen for the Day. I didn't have to wash a dish, pick up a thing or do any laundry. My wish was his command...very FUN! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> While I was out shopping he baked me a homemade birthday cake. He bought presents from him, things that I had mentioned in general conversation. OMG!!He is actually listening when I speak! It was a very wonderful birthday.

Valentine's Day
2005....He made an appointment for us to see the account do our taxes that night. No gift No card.

2006....he bought balloons from the kids for me he had no idea one of them said "To the One I Love". Which worked out great as friend of OW stopped by and saw them.

2007....A dozen long stemmed roses that I know he paid way too much money for. Flowers and chocolates from the kids. The best part? Since they were calling for a snow storm he got them days a head of time and hid them in the basement. He thought ahead...it wasn't a last minute decision or an after thought.

Some of the best things are the little things I took for granted. The kiss at the nap of the neck when I'm making dinner. A smile when I walk in the room. How bright his eyes get when he tells me about his day. His hand on the small of my back. A pat on the butt when he walks by. A 2 armed hug. When he pulls me close to sleep. Sitting w/me on the couch to watch TV and not falling asleep in his chair.

Last year I never believed these things would happen again.

He took his wedding ring off about 2 years ago because after 16 years of M it didn't "fit". Now it suddenly "fits" again.

Life is good and getting better everyday. Hang in there. Listen to the advice you are given!

(((ChaCha))). I'm so happy for you. I was just thinking about you today and wondering how you were doing. I was reading back through an old thread of mine and you had posted to me right after I started plan B. I was just weeks behind you.

Your recovery sounds about like mine. This is the marriage I had only dreamed about. We still have our issues with details of the A and such. (I just posted a recent conversation on Recovery that FWH and I just had exposing more details). Other than that life is really great. I couldn't have gotten through it without everyone here.

Glad to hear from you, keep in touch.
