Our friend on the forum, Bugsmom, wrote this earlier today:
Quote
I am at the hospital. My 26yr old nephew was in a car accident.

Bottom line - they are telling us he will not recover

Please send all your prayers his way

A little later she wrote that her dear nephew is brain dead and his family had decided to donate his organs. It will all be over in about 24 hours. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/teary.gif" alt="" />

As a community, could we please uplift Bugmom and her nephew's family in prayer, positive thoughts, candles, or whatever it is that your religious persuasion believes? It's one thing to deal with the pain of an A, but the death of a 26yo young man is a tragedy.

Oh, BUGS! I am so sorry for your family's misfortune...

You are all in my prayer! I'm sure that he was a great person!

CJ,

I just now saw this! Tears again,,,,but thankful ones this time.

This was so sweet and thoughtful of you.

Words can not express right now how much everyone's support here means to me.

My family is very thankful, too!

We did learn last night as they took him to surgery to harvest his organs, that his heart, lungs, and both kidneys went to people in our same city. His liver went to someone else.

We are trying to take some comfort in his living on through those gifts of life.

Bless you all.
