All this reminds me of college! Countless crushes on women who'd tell me, sorry, seeing someone else. But this would be before anything they'd done to indicate commitment. Maybe a few sessions in the front seat of my (yeah, right) sexy Ford Falcon when cars still had "bench" front seats. You could slide across and make out w/out having to wriggle over into the back seat and contort.
Oh, man. My W did do this to me. I couldn't believe how close we were. 1st really romantic vacation we spent together, we lounged in the motel pool togehter in such a way (I have to say!) that I was embarassed to emerge (you can guess why). Mornings, out of bed, I would just stand goggle-eyed watching her put her make-up on, me being completely, totally, unconditionally dazzled.
Know what? Still am. Plus, I get to do something the OM doesn't, which is sleep in the same bed with this ultimate fox most nights (except when she's on the road), hold her tight in my arms (which I do) and just lie there absorbing her energy.
OK, I'm a nut. Hey, she knows this. I think that's a lot of my appeal. Hers is that she's spoiled me for all other women. Thanks, a lot, my love!
--Wex

Boy, 20 yrs. ago... there was this gorgeous man walking down the street and I fell in love. Six weeks later we were married. God!!
Hopefully, as I've said before, your W will get her head twisted back on and remember her H who loves her so very much.
Good to hear from you...

------------------
~Sheryl
Marriage: the most important contract you'll ever enter into, and the most sacred.

Wex,
I think your wife is an absolute IDIOT!!!
I can't imagine having a husband who so obviously adores me and thinking that I need another man!!
On the other hand, she sounds a lot like our ex-DiL...a beautiful girl who apparently gets off on having men fall all over themselves to be with her. She is really messed up in the head! Thankfully, our son FINALLY put his foot down and is starting to have a life again.
This girl has:

Run off with his best friend for a month (4 years ago), leaving their two sons with us. During that time, she told our son that she and the OM were "trying for a baby." OM was screwing around on her within two weeks of running off with her, and she finally came home two weeks after that. Our granddaughter was born 8-1/2 months later--and yes, she is our son's child; she was premature.

Two years ago, she had a wreck and supposedly broke her back (no paralysis). She was sent home in a body brace and was supposed to be staying with her sister while our son was back at work as an OTR trucker. Turns out, the kids were staying with her sister while she put almost 8,000 miles on our Explorer in a month. Her sister and I finally got together and decided that something was going on with her. It turns out that while I was on vacation, she went to our house and found our son's business checkbook and took some checks out and signed my name to them. Our son had to borrow $8,000 to cover some charges she had run up and the bad checks that resulted when I wrote checks to pay the bills without knowing that she had wiped out the account. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Anyway, she also managed to get our son's draw (lease of his truck and paycheck) and rented a house and got utilities turned on, etc. I got a lousy $400 of it back by telling her that I would prosecute her for forging my name if she didn't give me the money back. She came back home within a week and lost two months deposit and the months rent. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

She was already having an affair with a guy down the street, plus she had been calling a mechanic at the trucking company for whom our son worked. The owner is a friend of ours and he told me that he had to call her and tell her that she had better not be calling other men there because he was not having any trouble between his employees over a woman.

She moved in with the guy down the street. If I called just to talk or to see if we could come visit the kids, she thought we were meddling in her life, so we had to stop calling. Anyway, she moved in and out.

Son almost got killed in trucking accident in Feb. 1998. DiL got out of OM's bed to go to Virginia where son was in hosptial. We got there, and she pitched a hissy fit--telling us that "she was his wife and was in charge and that she would put us out of his room." I finally got POd and said, "Oh, REALLY?? When did you decide to be a wife instead of the town whore?" Anyway, we had a major showdown. After that, things went back to normal (for then), and she stayed with son for 6 weeks--until she figured out that he wasn't going to get any big insurance settlement since he was the owner of the rig.

Our son divorced her over in July, 1998, at her request. They have joint custody of the kids, and all she got was the car. She told him at that time that she knew she wants to grow old with him, but that right now she wants to be single.

In November, 1998, she found out that our son was seeing a single woman in town. She had major hissy fits. She told our son that she wanted to reconcile. Our son told her that if she would get counseling, he would go with her, and if she got her head straightened out and he still loved her when she did, they would discuss it then. In the meantime, he would not let her move back in and he would keep dating. She threatened to marry the OM. Son told her to go ahead. So, she married the OM the day after Thanksgiving. The next day, she went to son's GF's house and threatened to "whip her @$$" in front of GF's kids. GF decided that she didn't want her kids exposed to stuff like that, so she broke up with son.

She came back to son in February of this year. Went back to new H after son told her that he would give her $100 of his tax refund, but that the rest of it was going on bills.

Came back a couple of months later. Son paid for some dental work. She left as soon as her teeth were fixed.

Came back after new H beat her up. Son told her that if she screwed him over again, that was it. She stayed about a month. While son and grandsons were camping with us, she moved out of town with new H.

Son has new GF. Her car needs repairs and she wants a new car. Son told her to tell her new H to fix it or buy her a new car. A few days later, she called son, wanting to come back. Son told her that he wouldn't take her back; that he's seeing someone else. Told her again that if she was wanting a new car, get her new H to buy it--that all he was obligated to do was pay for the one she's got now. She threw hissy fit about new GF and told son that he'd better not have her kids around the new GF.
(Funny, it's OK for her to take the kids and shack up with another man while she's still married to our son, but our now single son can't have the kids around a new GF who still lives with her parents?)

She tried to withhold visitation and hinted at accusing our son of molesting their daughter. Son got a lawyer and told her she's better tell her new H to fork over some money for legal fees. (Her new H is abroke sonuvagun. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] )

She's now being nice as pie to us, but still doesn't want kids around new GF. Son says it's getting to be time for kids to meet his GF.

Is this girl crazy or what????
Anyway, Wex, I think that your wife likes being so desired and likes feeling in control. Maybe a little less obvious desire for her might help? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

Oh, Wex. That is sooooo sweet! It does my heart good to hear you back to the way you usually are. BTW: While reading your post, I got the same feelings you got in the swimming pool, only female ones. why me - Thanks. Glad you liked my little story. Yeah, me and W seem much more back together the last few days. Things do seem to be looking up (so to speak!) Even in bed.
sweetpea - My W is not QUITE as bad as your ex-DIL but I did see some things in there that reminded me of her. One big difference is that my W does her running around on the sly and tries to keep up appearances in her marriage. There have even been times when I wished she WOULD run off with the OM just so things would at least be out in the open. But she has had a LOT of relationships with men in her short life (she's told me about a lot of them, not all I'm sure). She even told me she cheated in most of her longer-term relationships too. When I read about your ex-DIL's car accident, I DID think of my W, because her guilt over her cheating makes HER get into accidents too! (She had one when we were first going together - after we'd started making love - because I think she felt she was SORT OF cheating with me on her then current boyfriend. And she's had another pretty bad accident a few years before in another relationship for pretty much the same reason. When you say
quote:
I think that your wife likes being so desired and likes feeling in control. Maybe a little less obvious desire for her might help?

I think you're absolutely right and I am trying something like this. This morning (our anniversary) she actually came back to bed after getting up (something she hasn't done since we were courting) and we ended up spending a long time in the sack together making love.
Sheryl - Yes, I'm much better, thanks. Was going a little crazy there for a while. Always do, I guess, when I think she might be with HIM. But we've been pretty close the last few days, physically and emotionally. had some great talks, made love.
--Wex
