Well, you can WASH them. I have tons of cute tops, and I got many at Goodwill. Also I shop on ebay, which is much cheapter than the mall.
White is good because you just bleach it. And get lots of cute accessories.
I have to dress up for work, so I don't use those clothes. And I have good things for going out, and then my around the house clothes that are still fashionable and cute.
I wear SWEATSHIRTS when I go out on the boar fishing with my sons.

jeezzz you are no fun.....I am very messy...how do you clean without getting you good clothes dirty and ruined????? I agree! No need to go overboard and do the June Cleaver thing and all! LOL! Sometimes you really need some junky stuff to wear. Fixing a toilet? Definitely junky stuff! Deep sea fishing? Definitely junky stuff! Anyway.... LOL! Charlotte P.S.) Yeah, June Cleaver or a Stepford wife. I was accused of that once. Geez!

well... I'm wearing a sweatshirt! ;-p Because it's too cold not too! Plus no chance of seeing WH right now anyway, I'm in it for the comfort and warmth. Now tomorrow, that's a different story. Wearing a very nice sweater and doing the make up, gonna touch up after work because when I get home WH will be here cookin' or startin' to cook!
Having a great smiley day! Just because I can!!

OH! I GET it now!
Slightly t/j...I was trying to make myself feel better when Mr. Gray was still here and doing Goddess stuff then. So I was then labeled a "Stepford wife" and I'm sure they were talking trash in IM about it. I didn't look though.
They were just trying to tear me down so I would not do the things I was doing and go back to the way I was so their behavior could be justified by them.
I get it now! Duh! Took me long enough! LOL!
Sorry about that! Took the Goddess thread to get me to snap to, I guess!

Guess I shouldn't be so hard on Not2. I live in Southern California and it was 78 today. Maybe if it was COLD I would be wearing a sweatshirt too. But I only own one - my deepsea fishing one.

Can we negotiate on the sweatshirt thing?
Or I need ideas for Fridays at work which are casual day. And then there's the sport games for my children.
Ideas Goddesses?

I'll never wear a sweatshirt ever again. I practically lived in them the first 13 years of marriage and I'm not going back to that!
Besides, pretty sweaters can be found at thrift stores!

Ideas Goddesses? Hmmmmm...I don't know....nice t-shirts strategically torn with short-shorts so we can all look like Sheba the Jungle Girl?

Casual Fridays - well fitted jeans, heels or boots, cute top - have you checked out the babydoll tunics? Very flattering to most figures.

Hey Goddesses!!
Just checkin -- I LUVV this thread. Actually starting channeling my inner goddess about a week after WH moved in with OW. Like Chai, I tore into the house first and now it looks great. Then I moved on to me (facials, manicures, colring the hair, new clothes, new makeup). Haven't given up the sweats though, I wear them when I walk the doggies now that its cold. I guess that's next on the list!
It's funny when I was younger, I hated anything girlie. I think it was rebellion against my mother--who is the ULTIMATE GODDESS. LOL. Since WH left though, I am getting back into the girlie/ladylike side of me. And it's fun!! So in the end like mother, like daughter...
My latest thing is yoga. I was going to take my first calss last Sat but school got in the way (is doing homework a goddess activity?). So I'm going to plan on it again in two weeks. Chai has already warned me of the potential side-effects, so I'm prepped!
Believer--
Your XH is unreal. Have you told him to go away? Why is he so desparate now?
I'm travelling this week for work so I'll pop in less often than usual, but keep it coming ladies!!
BTW, looking ahead to Feb and Valentine's day I decided to take some lady friends from work (some signle, some married) to a girls' only Valentine's day lunch at a very nice restaurant. I figured since I knew I wasn't going to be with WH I wanted to make that day still a special one and share love by celebrating with good friends. Maybe a new goddess tradition????

Smartie,
You are one smart lady.

78 degrees b....well it is 26 degrees here right now....(midwest girl...I mean midwest GODDESS...) so sweatshirts are part of wardrobe....of course, I am thinking that will be changing...
If it makes you all feel better, I'd PREFER a sweater over a sweatshirt any day, but mine are all so pretty and new right now, I just don't want to mess them up.
Like I said, I end up wearing most of the dirt when I clean or get cleaning supply stains on things, and I really don;t want to ruin my "pretty" new stuff...so I am trying to find a happy middle ground for when I clean....

What an awesome idea!!!!!!! Valentines day is so YUCKY when you don't have your lover.
Skinsgal - Check out the babydoll tunics. They look GREAT on full-figured women. They cover the tummy and thighs.
Since you feel like you are too fat, I hope you will watch a show I saw last night. Forget what it is called, but it is starring the Queer Eye guy, and he takes heavier women and fixes them up and has them model nude. GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!

where do I check out babydoll tunics?
I'm feeling way better about myself. Can't lost 80+ lbs and not feel good, I just don't think high heels are for me yet. I still have about 75 - 100 lbs to go. And it has slowed up so much.

Wow, Believer, I cannot believe after all this time, he is hounding you like that!! You must be a TRUE Goddess!!
I am sorry that you are upset, though. How is your new mate taking all of the XH attention? Why do you think it upsets you? Are you wavering now after the D or is it just annoying? It seems like in one way it would be a little gratifying or validating (not nice, but we ARE human!), but in another way it would just bring up so many bad memories and sadness.
I'll admit, I wasn't a very good Goddess today. Went on my antibiotics and just feel like warmed-up poopy. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day! At least I SMELL good!!

SkinsGal - They have them in the mall here, and they are on ebay too. Check them out. And the show is Carson Kressley's "How to Look Good Naked" - WONDERFUL program for women that aren't emaciatingly thin.
Lala - I used to think it would be gratifying, but instead it is just depressing. Everything thrown away for NOTHING.
My new man is NOT HAPPY. He has been gone for a month and a half on a temporary assignment in Washington, DC. But he is getting annoyed.
I need to snap out of the regrets, jettison my ex, and MOVE ON.
