Not2,

Oh, can't wait for the French Toast recipe. I'm going to now designate February as "cook & try new recipe" month. Looks like I did all of my Goddess stuff this month, so I need a new theme.

Still getting compliments on the new do. Can't believe it. Going to the mall later for some new threads.

(((GOOD AFTERNOON GODDESSESS)))

I just wanted to pop in to tell you about my Goddess afternoon...

I had forgotten that my son had baseball practice. Now anyone with kids knows that usually the moms show up in jeans and sweatshirts, casual clothes. Oh sure, you have the occassional princess thrown in there, but usually it is casual attire. That's how I was all last season, both during summer and fall ball. Heck, most of the time I didn;t even bother with makeup and hair was in pony.

Well, once I remembered the practice, I hurried up and changed, touched up the makeup, and fixed the hair (remember I am decluttering/painting/trying to get house in order today). I remembered the jewerly, heeled boots, and scrumptious new coat I bought yesterday (for $40 no less). Well, we were a little late, but everyone commented on how GREAT I looked. Coach said I was becoming quite the skinny-minnie and other mothers wanted to know what I did to lose the weight (yeah right, they don't want this diet....). I even had the yucky Divorced dad flirting with me (love his ex., he's a complete a** and a WS....we DO NOT LIKE THIS MAN) telling me to come out to this bar/club his friend owns (not in this lifetime....lol).

Anyways, it was quite fun to get the comments and compliments, especially when the new GODDESS me was in good form.....

and I have to say I owe it all to my GODDESS teachers....

I love you all

ok WH called to take son to movie, said I could come along if I wanted to, because he knew it was something I wanted to watch.

jumped in the shower- painted my toes (first time in probably 6yrs). Left my hair down, got it cut... always wear it up off my face. I get compliments when it's down. Wore my new tight long sleeved T (and earned a compliment from him ;-) Oh and a bit of make-up, which I skip more often than not.

He's coming over for football tomorrow... I guess I'll GODDESS up again tomorrow.

Now I know what I'm having for breakfast in the morning!
Yum-my! Thanks N2F

DS1 has a 103' so I'm not in GODDESS mode. My little WARRIOR looks so sad. Gave lukewarm bath, and motrin, Grandma is heading to get tylenol. These are the times I wish WH were here. But only for a minute.

My poor little peanut.

It's rainy and cloudy here so I've been in my velour pants all day long. Ahhh, please don't kill me. Aren't they better than sweats?

Skins, thx for chkng in on me the other night. Kinda not been posting too much lately. Sounds like you had an awesome day, I'm so glad.

Have a great night Sisterhood!

Hi Free,

I did have a great day. I'm struggling tonight, but just praying and taking it second by second. I hate weekends now.

I godess-ed up for my H last night for our "date night"... and he didn't say a word about it Humph. Stupid plan A... I know, no expections... but come on, I know I looked DANG good, and you can't say a WORD about it?!?

I wore a new black shirt I got on sale that is tighter in the chest and then has a line of sequins right under the chest... and then sort of is "flowy" under that. And some nice, tight dark jeans... and heels (I almost had to practice walking around the house in them, because I'm so used to wearing flats). I painted my nails (I never paint my nails, but since all this crap, I've been trying to keep them nicer), put on make up (usually not a big make up person either), and had even got a haircut with a little more style in it earlier in the day (it is usually just cut straight across). AND NOT A WORD!! What the heck?? Oh-- and I even started going to the gym recently again (I broke both bones in my right forearm in August and spent over 2 months in a cast... and then a lot of PT... so I pretty much just sat on my butt from August until now, and admittedly gained about 10 lbs in doing that, so I've lost 5 of that and toned up since the new year...).

AND NOT A WORD?? What the heck?? Grrrrrr.....

SS- just reading about your problems getting enough calories/food in...

A suggestion for you... my mom has MS and has trouble eating somedays also because she's just too sick and doesn't feel like it.

So, the doctor suggested that she buys ensure shakes (or soemthing along the lines of that) to drink as a high calorie meal replacement that has a lot of your nutrients too. They are good if you pop one in the blender with some ice and make a smoothie out of it, or even take a chocolate one, add some ice and fruit and blend that up. My mom drinks those a lot. And they go down pretty easy, pretty easy to just sip on one.

Just a suggestion. Take care of yourself!

Good early morning Goddesses!

Yesterday was a good day! H wanted to go to Wally World and pick up some stuff for work. Normally that would be a throw on jeans and shirt and off we go. Told him I've got to shower first. Showered, lotioned, moisturized, hair looked good, make up on, a couple puffs of perfume, heals, nice jeans, pretty sweater...he's running back and forth into the bathroom several times wanting to know what's taking so long! LOL Final mirror check goddess like look accomplished. The last few times he has smile on his face, never complimented me but hey a smile is step forward.

Got to WWorld ran into a lady I know and hadn't seen in awhile. First thing out of her mouth is dam$ you look younger! Now this isn't a 'friend' just someone we know very casually. WOW! That made my day!!!!

I'm trying the olay line of moisturizers and eye lift serum which H helped me locate! Another good sign.

Crossing fingers H will get to the verbalization of at least you look nice. But even if HE doesn't I do!

Keep up the good work Goddess ladies!

MVG, just popped on your thread and that is awesome that your H read 5 love languages. I have that book, too and it seems like such a logical concept. Do you know what his main ones are? If you ask then you can do them and he won't even know what hit him. <sneaky, sneaky>

Sounds like things are headed upward for you. YAY! Wally World always reminds me of Chevy Chase....man, that was a good movie.

Now RIM, girl don't you even worry...your H noticed, trust me, even if he didn't say anything. Men are very visual you know that, so keep up with the effort and it will pay off...if not with him right away, then with you! You are a hottie! Repeat after me: I AM A HOTTIE.
Just strut your stuff and the new attitude will come forward from the inside, too. That is where all lasting transformations begin.

Have a great day GODDESSES!

I'm all in for more STARS Mimi!

Not doing much today, having a lot of painful headaches, probably associated with the surgery. It's okay, just a new thing to learn to cope with, and I have hope that it's muscle fatigue related. Taking more breaks helps a great deal. PWC has DS with him most of the day now, so I'm free from many child rearing duties, and he's been so helpful to me, and I tell him, regularly.

I have to say that I have never felt so good about myself, inside and out, in my life. I have learned a lot about me during this whole process, and how little concern I had for my own happiness. That's all but gone now, and a new day has dawned with me. I am a top priority these days.

(((GOOD MORNING GODDESSES)))

I had a most restful sleep last night, heck didn't even have any nightmares or dreams about WS. I went to church and now I am going to work on the house some more before football begins...yeah, yeah...football may not be a very GODDESS activity but I love it. Besides, I have followed much of it since DDay..so I am going to take the me time today and enjoy it...lol...but I will promise to look smashing and beautiful while I watch it, no sweats or sweatshirts...lol

And yes Mimi...this thread should get the TOP stars, because when BS women come here, it is the MOST helpful thread to get them to feel good about themselves and point them in the right direction for PA. I should know, look what it has done for me....

Hair done...check

makeup on....check

Nice pants...check

lovely sweater....check

heeled boots....check

Jewerly...check

I was told at church today that I was looking good, in fact, MODEL good...gotta love that one....

I voted! 5 stars for us GODDESSES!

I am having a GODDESS DAY. Good rest, did some exercise today (something I haven't done in ages) and all the glitz and nice clothes!
Yesterday was not so GODDESS. My attitude was good and I got the house cleaned (H left to go back to work) but I didn't look so good . But hey, todays a new day and I get to try again!

I want to re-do some stuff in my house so bad!! I want a new bedspread and headboard and paint! Ugh.
And I want new valances in the kitchen and in the laundry room so I can paint them too! But I haven't found the stuff to get started. I live in a small town and have to wait to go the the big city to look for the stuff!
Oh, and I want new curtains in the living room.
I may go again this week to the city and I'll have time to look around and not be in such a hurry.
I am trying to hurry and get my tax stuff ready so as not to wait till the last minute. Squeezing in all my projects at the same time. So much to do!!

Happy Sunday to all!
