WS invited me on a date for our 22nd year anniversary. I got a card, it's not really an anniversary card, nothing seemed to be appropriate nor did I want to scare CH away by getting a mushy card. Anyone have any suggestions on what to write that won't make things worse?

I love you. I want our marriage to work. I know we can be happy again...together. Thank you for the 22 years we have shared.

It may scare him off for now, and it may not. But what is really important is getting your message through. The above quote should almost be like a broken record, since it takes repetition to get any truth in past the fog.

Whether it's anniversary cards, or him telling you he wants a divorce, or him saying too much has happened to fix it, or the he doesn't love you any more.....for almost anything his WS mind can throw at you, that type of message is your answer. I love you. We can make this work. It's not too late. We can be happy and in love with each other again. I believe in us. I do marriage, not divorce.

Keep it short, is my only other bit of advice. WS's have very short attention spans.
