I am a Christian and having marital conflict. My parents suggested Nouthetic Counseling. My H and I went to our first session. Was wondering if anyone has positive or negative feelings toward this type of counseling for marriage and if it is in agreement with this website.

What is it, exactly? what does the term mean? "Nouthetic" ? What matters is does it work for you? How comfortable are you with the approach and the content and the counselor him/herself??

this type of counseling is straight from the Bible. I am not sure if this counseling is going to work. I will give it a few trys then find something else.
