My H and I had done a home mail in DNA test after I told H about an A I had 2-3 yrs ago. The results came back negitive for my H being the father of our 2 yr old son. We have both talked about saving money to do an acutal at the site collection DNA test because of the chance of there being an error. The mail in site didn't get get my H race right on the results and after talking to a site collection they told him about having people come to them after doing a mail in test and the results being over turned. My questions is because of how important this is and how many "what ifs" this mail in test left us asking, should we go to do a site collection DNA test? The simple fact that 10 out of the 15 markers matched my H and him and the OM are nothing alike not even the same race. How could they have so many matching markers? That and the mail in test didn't test me to check the other markers to me. I feel this is TO important to leave it at those results but the fear of what if they were right and could we both go through that again holds us back. What should we do? Please any advice?

Get it done professionally. It IS too important to wonder.

I replied to you on your other thread before I read this one.
By all means and at whatever cost, discover the truth, period, end of discussion. You must be absolute with the truth before you can deal with the issues.
All the best. . .

thanks, that is what we both want it is just going to be saving up the money to do the test and make sure there was just too many "what if's" with that mail in test to leave it at that.

Marinemom,
Excellent idea to get another test. Genetically, people of different races can be much closer than people of the same race. It is something that has been learned over the recents years with the unraveling of the genetic code.
Get the test done. You just don't know if they switched samples.
God Bless,
JL
