I know we've had a few problems on the forums since the upgrade.

The tech's were going to be working on them starting last week.

1- Editing your own posts?--Can you? Any experiments with the time limit?

2- Thread starter had NO edit ability on their first post-- Is that still true? No edit icon on the first post of the thread?

3. Search feature- does it work for you now? On both Key Word search and/or User Name search? Or neither?

4. Anything else?

Your signature line feature for your history or story has been raised from 100 back to 500 characters.

I don't know yet if we are going to get the BIO feature back for our profiles or if we are going to get the Who's Online feature back.

Oh yeahhhhhhhhh,,the LINKS!!!

Last upgrade when the old links were broken, I spent months--HONESTLY months, searching for each old link, and editing, just on the "General Welcome for New Builders" in the JFO forum and individual member requests. When I mentioned it to Steve, he was able to fix it in one fell swoop!! It was magic!! Just like that!! ALLLLLL fixed!! Ughhh, so much for my flimsy little individual effort!!

I have again mentioned to Steve last week that are links are again broken. He said the tech's had to do "something" before he could again repair them. That was supposed to happen hopefully this PAST week. That's one reason for this post---to see what has been fixed and what we still need repaired.

But we WILL get our links back!

Dunno haven't started a thread yet since the upgrade.


Name search works fine, even with dates.
Key word search does not work under any circumstances with or without userid or dates.


None of the links to old posts work now. My MB toolkit if it was ever any use is now useless

I can edit everything but first posts.

I like the "jump to" but miss "who's online".

Points I would like to see improved:

Long threads have only a very little range of pages available in the chose page selection. This you can live with in a thread. But when you are in the historical part of the forum it is very anoying to be able to page only 4-5 pages at the time if you want to go from page 1 to page 150 (where you left reading yesterday.)
It would be nice to have a little window "go to page" where you could type in the page number.

Old links are unreliable at the best. Often they don't work at all.

Priview post didn't work when I tried it now.

Previously if I want to find the early posts of a poster I had to page and page and page in the find result pages. You can ovoid that by using the search options to search a more narrow time window. But again it would be nice to page directly to the end or to a certain date. Some posters have terribly many posts!

And if we're being really nit-picking, the new "Smilies" are just not as expressive as the old ones.
