Expectations are nothing more than pre-meditated resentments.

That it?

The ? that made recovery possible: "Which lovebuster do I do the most that hurts the worst"?

The statement that signaled my personal recovery and the turning point in our marriage recovery: "I don't need to be married that badly!"

If you're interested in saving your relationship, you'll work on it when it's convenient. If you're committed, you'll accept no excuses.

THAT'S MY GIRL......yeppers that was it.....THANK YOU .....I really really loved when you posted that.....it just made SO much sense to me.....especially when most of our marriage WS and I have had MANY EXPECTATIONS of each other and would begin not meeting each others EN's because the other wasn't "living up" to our expectations......

Anyway, thank you much.....heading out to the pool now..... grin...

Someone wrote a book called 'Transformation of the Inner Man' in which there is a chapter on 'bitter roots expectations'. I think that may relate a lot to what you are thinking about.
