My local radio station morning show crew is making a joke of online dating. They put a profile of the married female member on some sugar daddy site (she didn't know until after they'd done it). They even put that she was married. The big joke this morning was the number of interested men - even though it says right in her profile that she is married.

What is wrong with this world?????

I like to read a lot of history. Especially historical fiction that incorporates real historical figures and events. Infidelity has gone on from time immemorial.

the men who responded probably presumed that even though she was married if she wasn't looking then she would have a profile on the dating site to begin with

What I question is, what exactly are they looking for??? Obviously if she's listed as married, she plans on staying that way. Do they just want a cheap **** with no strings attached?

Um... Yeah!

People will justify and rationalize ANYTHING for sex. Heck, I work with a girl who said that once upon a time, she would ONLY date married men. She preferred "relationships" with no strings attached.

I know, I know... The logic is twisted. She finally discovered it too, and had since reformed her behavior. She did that Woman Within program and apparently turned her life around as a result.

Anyway, there are a lot of people who'd view it as the perfect situation. Sex without commitment. It's nothing new really. The methods change (on-line dating), but the motivations are old and consistent.

Obviusly, they assume that a married women who posts on a sugar daddy website, is (1.) cheap, as in trashy, and (2.) not going to talk about it. No doubt she attracted men just like her.

When I used the Internet to meet women, I was surprised by the number who contacted me with the "I'm still married, but the marriage is dead" story. While they are probably correct on both counts, I do not wish to be part of that situation.
