BTW I posted my email address here the other day and since then someone has tried to hack into my email account TWICE. I don't use that email any more.

I had thought about emailing Justuss but didn't see she was still a mod as she never appears on any of the forums. So I sent an email to the webmaster instead. The response email said "you are ignoring this user".
Now I see on the main forums list that Justuss simply graduated and has been promoted to Ideas and Articles. Good for her - infidelity is a bummer.

LOL, I didn't think it was you. You know because you get an email purporting to be from Yahoo saying you'd breached the TOS and you needed to click on a link to say you wanted your email kept open. Stupidly, I did that, not that I thought I'd breached any TOS.
So after the drama of updating all my virus protection etc etc and changing my password, I got another email purporting to be from Yahoo. "Thanks for your photos". Uh, no I didn't send any photos, so I deleted that one immediately.
I now use a different email.

I now use a different email. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Well you got suckered then. That is a scam email not from yahoo to try and get you to divulge your password - nothing al ALL to do with posting your email here. I get those stupid phishing emails all the time and just delete them.

Maybe a spam-bot harvested it - they do scan web pages for email addresses.

Probably. I work at a very big university. Sometimes the spam and viruses have nearly caused a shut down.

That's why when you post an email address, you should do it cryptically such as:
ignorantuser at hotmail dot com
I don't think spiders pick those up.
But then again, I believe in the philosophy that there is no point in making something idiot proof because they'll just invent a better idiot.
