PM,
Congratulations for him, for you, for your marriage.
And I would say that the flock who receive him as their leader will have a man to look to who has known the hardship of a fall, and the grace of God in being lifted.
What experience and compassion this will give him as a minister - the Lord has worked in his life, bringing good out of such pain and disaster, hasn't He?
Blessings to be found, in spite of Satan's attempts to do otherwise.
God's way winning.
SB
Lucky to be where I am, in a safe place to get marriage-related support. Recovered. Happy. Most recent D-day Fall 2005 Our new marriage began that day. Not easily, but it did happen.

PM: Thanks for posting "My Ride on the Roller Coaster." It has helped me tremendously reading your story. How courageous of you to share!
Funny how the roller coaster analogy is so true. And it's a ride we BS's never intended to get on in the first place. Some of us never even knew this particular ride existed at our amusement park!
Interesting that some riding the ride find it fun and exhilarating and others hate it and just want to puke. That some want to jump off and others want to see it through til the end. Some of the cars contain kids, others contain parents, friends, and coworkers.
And the WS and OP seem to be in the front cart, carefree, with their hands in the air. They can stop the ride at any time, but they keep telling the operator "one more time around. We're having too much fun. Keep going."
WS and OP are oblivious to the people in the other cars. They can't see them since everyone else is sitting behind them. They might catch a peak of the cars here and there, but then again, it's all one big foggy blur. They don't see the looks of fear and panic, the tears, the messed up hair, the pleas to stop.
Well, MB, you get my drift. Thanks for showing that some rides do end. And sometimes, everyone exits the ride safely.
