Did anyone see the season premiere for this show last night?
I think it should be required watching for all newly betrayed BS.
Very cool techniques to detect a liar.
Betcha Schoolbus would really like it, right up her alley.

I really liked it. Sort of a House ripoff.
I wish I could remember all the "tells"....

Jonny Lang sings 'Lie To Me' I know it's not what you are talking about but I really like this song. This was on his CD he recorded when he was about 16. It's awesome for a kid that young.

I heard it was by the same producers who do 24.
Let's see... some of the tells...
1. the tiny almost smile 2. the shoulder shrug 3. the eye crinkles 4. the fisted hand 5. the face of shame 6. the disgusted look 7. the look you in the eye look
anymore?

7. the look you in the eye look
anymore? That was a really good one. When telling the truth people just say it and break off eye contact in the usual manner. When lying they have to maintain eye contact and watch and see if the other person is buying it. However, I have seen the opposite said, that liars don't make eye contact <shrug> The other one I thought was brilliant was to make them tell the story backward. So if your WS says "I went to the grocery store, then I called my mom, then I got gas, then I went to McDonalds, I stopped and talked to Jane, then I opened the account at the bank." Make them say it backward. If they are telling the truth, no problem.

I also liked the, "now tell the story backwards" trick. Hey, great tool to use against a WS. LOL

I'm thinking it's a great one to use on your teenagers.

I've got this show on the DVR...if I can ever get the season premier of "Lost" watched, I'm gonna check it out.
I've been a Tim Roth fan ever since "Pulp Fiction".

I did not watch the show, but my FWH squirmed just at the announcements for it.
For many years, I had often joked when we were playing board games or cards that I could tell when H was lying. His left eyebrow would go up. But somehow along the way, he learned to control it and during the A he was able to lie to me for 7 months without me ever suspecting. And now, D-Day +9 months, I can't tell if he is telling the truth or not. He got really good at the skill of lying.
