If you cannot afford an attorney, you can file a petition for separation and divorce yourself. The paperwork is available in the local circuit courthouse. There is a filing fee and you can actually have that waived if you file a waiver form. You can also file for sherrif's service, which will have him served much faster and easier. This costs around $25, and you can file a waiver for that also. The waiver is just a form you fill out explaining why you can't afford to pay the filing fee's, if it is apporved they wave all fee's. If not it is around $125 for the first form.
