So part of my divorce decree states that if my x is living with a significant other and that significant other is paying for rent, utilities etc. that I can take that amount off of what I pay her monthly. So she has been seeing this guy for a while now and he is always over there when my kids are over there and when I come by to get them for something. He is living there as far as I can tell.
This year my x wanted to nogotiate claiming the kids for the next few years which is also part of our decree. I told her I was not going to give here any of the kids to claim if she has somebody living with her that is paying here for rent or other items. She said she was not having somebody live with her but I think she is lying.
Is it worth pursuing this? Is there some investigative work I can do to find out?

Hiring a PI would be the easiest way. Barring that, you could try to determine if the other guy has another address in his name and go there to see if there's signs it has been vacant for a while. You could attempt to intercept the mail (probably illegal). If he's receiving mail at your ex's place, he can be considered to be living there. Again, a PI would be easier and likely to produce better results that could be used in court.

This actually happened to my XBIL. He moved in with OW after his and her divorce. Well, OW's XH got wind of it. After quite a few months, he requested a reduction in his spousal support. His attorney had depositions, copies of bills, etc. XBIL said he was only living there temporarily while he found a house to purchase, but he stayed over six months. OW said he didn't contribute to the bills.
The attorney had enough evidence to prove his point. OW's spousal support was reduced more than half.
Don't know in your situation, Arigato, if it's worth the cost to bring this up in court. In this case, there were no kids involved so the support was stictly spousal support. And the XH ended up saving $3000 per month for life!
