It is fairly well known around here that most marriage counselors would do the world a big favor by NOT counseling marriages.

And some of us, such as myself, have had absolutely horrendous encounters with marriage counselors who have a "You need to do what makes you happy" view if adultery.

So, is there a good site that has reviews for therapists?
And if not, then why?

I did find one, but it wanted me to register with my name, phone number, and address before I could leave a review.

I've seen sites where you can leave a comment about a therapist, but I've always wondered: what's to stop them from getting all their friends and family to post glowing reviews so they can get more business?

It seems like a system that is inherently flawed.

I use a lot of review sites when buying things or services. One thing you can do to weed out that very problem is look for "Bursts" of positive or negative reviews.

If a restaurant for example has a record of overall bad reviews lasting for a year, but has a several day long "Burst" of strangely positive reviews... Thats the owners trying to counteract the negative reviews.

Same thing happens the other way.

If a restaurant for example has a record of overall positive reviews lasting for a year, but has a several day long "Burst" of very poor reviews... Thats one very angry customer trying to hurt there business.

I found ours on the dearpeggy.com website, before we found MB. She has a lot of training in infidelity, uses MB principles and has written a book for the WS to help the BS heal. She was once a BS so she gets it.
