Was in a relationship for almost a year and half after my first marriage. The last 3 months we fought so much I broke up with her about 5 weeks ago. This was after threatening to break up with her 2-3 times previously which she vehemently objected to. I was a jerk. Screamed at her and treated her badly. Didn't appreciate her or consider her needs. But a day later I regretted it and realized I did not want to live without her.

But she has really distanced herself from me, even telling her bestfriend that she is by herself (single). I've tried doing all I can to make amends but she says that it takes time. She's in a protective shell because I hurt her badly and I have to earn her back. We've been intimate, but I don't feel any love from her. We used to spend every night together, but not anymore. It's hard to even get a hug from her. I'm worried we've become FTF. Especially when she told her daughter's coach that she's single in front of me when asked if she was married just a few days ago.

She gets mad when I ask about our relationship, says I'm pressuring her and if I keep it up then she doesn't want to be with me. I asked if we're still together. She said we're in between. If so, then why tell other people she's single or by herself? So things came to a head and I said if my love for you is what you call pressure, if you want me to stop asking questions about us then just tell me to get out of your life and I will. She refused to answer. Any advice?

I only realized how important she was after I had lost her. Her bestfriend told me that I was out of her heart, and when out can never go back in, but that she's afraid to lose me as a friend. My GF (don't even know what to call her anymore) said each person is different and that's not the case with her though it is with her best friend. How can I act cool when I love her and want things to be the way they were? She says I'm acting weird. Of course I am, I just lost a very important person in my life. She calls me everyday. We webcam every night and leave it on till morning. Does she just want revenge to torture me? Or is there really a chance to get back together? Or should I just let it go?

For real? crazy I cannot imagine why in the world any woman would want a man who acts like that.

Why would she want to continue a relationship with a jerk? Most women would rightly run for the hills...

You know what? The best thing you can do is leave her the h_ll alone! You didn't show respect for her when together and now you aren't showing respect for her because you're pressuring her to get what YOU want! Well life isn't all about YOU! Time to grow up and learn how to show some respect. You know it takes an awful lot to make me mad but when I hear stuff like this it ticks me off big time. Step back out of her life. If she ever wants to reconsider she knows where to find you. BTW, you're single now too. There is no such thing as "in between". Yep, maybe she is trying to torture you, do you blame her? You shouldn't let her...learn respect for yourself as well, while you're at it.

If that's the case, then I think you did the right thing breaking up. If you are fighting all the time, you are not a good match.

When you were together, you subconsciously realized that she was not meeting your top Emotional Needs. So you fought. But now she is gone you are realizing that she was meeting some and now noone is meeting any and that is why you think she was important. But in the long run it is better that you find someone who is a better match for you and that you are willing to their needs.
