If you have read my threads, you know that when I caught my wife and the OM in a very compromising position, I proceeded to lay a smack-down on him, of major proportions. He had: 1. broken arm 2. broken collar bone 3. broken nose 4. broken ankle 5. five teeth knocked out. and incidental bruises, cuts, and abrasions. He deserved ALL of it, and more. Well, I found out from my Dad that the OM is now in prison in ARkansas, how about them apples!!! For 6 years!! Ist Degree CSC with a minor. Seems that he started having sex with a 15 y.o. girl, gave her coke, and when she was caught by the cops, she narked him out. Couldn't have happened to a nicer fella.

That wasn't a bus.

It was an Eighteen Wheeler.

I remember the name but not your story. So I'll say this, good thing if you have kids, you got him out of your families life.

Do not discuss this with FWW. He does not exist for the two of you anymore, right?

I don't give a rat's butt about what happens to OM. Rot in hell.
I just cannot celebrate and *high-five* any event which destroyed a 15 year old child.
If this was a 'Karma Bus', it ran over a child on it's way to OM.

My wife's OM is stuck with his wife with no access to the best thing that ever happened to him.

Karma is indeed a good thing.

MM,

What does your W think about OM now? It is a real shame about the 15 year old girl, but I'm glad he is in jail before he did anything else.

MM,

I wasn't aware of OM's association with drugs. By chance, did you ever inquire if they ever used together or if he tried to get her to use?
Not wanting to stir the pot, just curious.

There's the sad part. Unfortunately, he didn't take himself down alone. frown

I've already told her, and she was furious about the young girl (remember, we have a 16 Y.O. daughter), she said that it was too bad I didn't do more damage to him. But afterwards, she cried, and asked how she could have ever thought he was a kind person.

I did ask her about this, CV, and she said that there was never any hint of drug use.

So, MM, you reminded your spouse of her worst mistake, made her cry, brought thoughts of POSOM back to her, and presented her with the necessity of lying to you (which she did - how ridiculous is it to think that someone was drug-free six months ago, and now has progressed to providing it to minors in another State?) - all so you can get a little thrill at his fall?

banghead I gotta find a softer wall!

NG, we have the process of radical honesty, in place, in our marriage. I did think about not telling her, but that isn't a part of the MB format, so I did what I felt, which was to be honest with her, and she was honest with me. She told me to ask anybody at her former place of work , if there was even a hint of drug use, and besides, they have mandatory drug testing, so she didn't lie. She is fine with me verifying anything I need or want to, and I still can give her a poly , whenever I feel like it, so I'm pretty sure that she is telling the truth. It's just too bad that we live in the 21 st century, or he would be pushing up daisies by now.

If MM W is lying about mutual drug use then there is a big problem.

In any event his W knowing just how large a creep she fell for will add another layer of caution to her interactions with men.

She needs to know that she is now associated with an exploitive sex offender, this is just another consequence of having an affair, she can just be glad she wasn't his girlfriend when OM committed this crime.

Well, let's look to your premises, and see how they stack up:

...at her former place of work , if there was even a hint of drug use, and besides, they have mandatory drug testing...

I think you said POSOM was transferred after the beat-down, but stayed in the same company, yes? If so, their "mandatory drug testing" failed spectacularly to detect his final situation, right? And these pro-forma "drug tests" are extremely easy to evade, if they're even performed at all!

...we have the process of radical honesty, in place, in our marriage...

Straight from the good doctor's pen (keyboard?):

Policy of Radical Honesty:
Reveal to your spouse as much information
about yourself as you know; your thoughts,
feelings, habits, likes, dislikes, personal history,
daily activities, and plans for the future.

(Emphasis mine.)

Nary a thing about the current status or legal struggles of the (blotted from existence) POSOM. And stretching the range of "thoughts, feelings,...dislikes" to encompass your desire to express your personal glee at POSOM's incarceration would be sophistic.

Indirect "contact" with OM causes recovery clock to get set back to 0.

Was it worth it? I'll ask you again in a few days, and then weeks.

Well thank the Lord for small favors! At least that's one thing you don't have to worry about.
