I lost my previous post at the preview stage.

My lawyer has written a modifiable settlement agreement for us. I am receiving community property and an alimony buy out.
We have been married 39 years.
Any advice about mod versus non-mod?

You can find your thread by clicking on your posting name and click "user's posts".

I imagine that you've received no replies because you started a new thread and because this is a legal question and not a marriage question. Just guessing...

Yes, I had clicked in, but I have no experience with that, and it was the only question.

Is the settlement fair to you? Previously your H was trying to keep everything.

Are you getting a lump sum? What exactly is modifiable about the agreement?
