This is my first visit to this forum and I have to admit I have seen a lot of advice on how to solve or terminate troubled relationships. Tell me what you think of this.
A relationship between a man and woman is based on so many factors that it's not practical to list them down. All that is required is to bring the two together and nature will take it's course. This can be through interaction at the work place, restaurant, shops, streets or night club.
If you make the mistake of spending too much time with another person, you will discover that you have a lot in common and if that lot falls under emotional needs, there is a good chance you will stray.
Put simply, your husband or wife is not the only person who can make you happy at all levels. Everytime you are out there, there is the possibility that you may encounter an individual who may be able to provide (or appear to) your "emotional needs" better than your partner at home.
Let's say you stay long enough in the relationship, you are going to discover that that new person is lacking in other areas that your husband/wife was good at. What do you do? find someone else (This is the time unfaithful partners come back home and are now loving and caring until the next time).
Let's not run away from facts. In this world, you are either an honest/dishonest person (not to anybody but yourself). When you are married you are either faithfull/unfaithfull to your partner, and you respect yourself and partner. Those that carry all three words,"HONESTY, FAITHFULL AND RESPECT" will consider the implications of their actions when faced with serious situations. Are you prepared to terminate your relationship with the person you have loved for years. What will happen to your children. For those that lack the three words, they will jump at the opportunity because that is what they want. It has nothing to do with the partner at home. Rather than admit to themselves or anyone the truth(because society is not forgiving) they come up with excuses like;
-lack of emotional fulfilment
-My needs were not being met
-I needed some space
-I felt neglected
and a few fancy ones learned from marriage doctors.
Maintaining a marriage is the most difficult thing a woman and man can embark on. If one partner strays, lay it out as it is "You either stay and help maintain the relationship or getout". In my book, people who cheat and decide they want to come back no longer have a say in the relationship. If they had the affair because of some of the reasons mentioned above, it's obviuos you are not wanted anymore. If they were really serious about getting the most out of a relationship, demand it like we all do, it is your right. You don't go and sleep with sombody first then come back and say let's solve problems.
A lot of people have asked, why do some people cheat on their loved ones. The simple answer is because they choose to do so.
