Hi Ammon,
Just wondering...... I see your 3 posts today yet you seem like you are familar with MB. Have you been here before?
Here is your first:
quote:
Originally posted by Ammon: davyboy --
I agree with Anna--Why not try to work on this marriage? 1981-2001 = long history and investment. I think that becoming "great friends" and having "frank discussions" are solid places to start to rebuild. Both of the recommended books are excellent.
Yes, I believe that an "intimate loving relationship" can grow where none existed before and with so much negative history between you. I think you've made a good re-beginning between you two but it is about fixing yourself as a person first (for her too!) and then things have a much better chance of working out.
I'll be around here for the holidays and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Peace to you, your boys, and your wife.

You appear to be very supportive. This is good. What brings you to MB?
L.
[ December 23, 2001: Message edited by: Orchid ]

Orchid --
I am so sorry that I haven't responded sooner to your post to me. I had lost the thread to NurseBetty and found it again only this morning. I wasn't ignoring you; I was floating around with other people and posts. I'm glad I've reconnected here!
Yes, I am new to MB, certainly as a poster, but I've been lurking for a good couple of weeks. Thank you very much for your kind welcome. I need to be here and have found much help and support already just by reading the far-too-many similar stories to mine. Maybe I should just post my own tale and maybe collect some advice aimed specifically at me.
I hope this gets to you since it's at the end of a rather old thread. If I don't hear back from you after a bit, I'll figure some other way of responding.
This is a wonderful place!
Ammon
