Do women have nothing else going on in our lives but wayward husbands and backstabbing best friends. I have been watching all weekend and that's all there is except for the ones where they try to show a cheating wife as the victim so we can understand why she cheated. I've seen bigamy, polygamy, adultery, my goodness, is this all there is? Don't we have any happy stories, what happened to those true story movies where we are empowered and motivated and strong? This is depressing.

IMHO, happy stories don't sell well. For somo sordid reason, the movie makers like to see us suffer and others like to watch.

Blame the public for that choice. oops that's us! Well now we all have to make a choice.

Most of us either know someone who has suffered from A or been through it ourselves. I think we all need to rethink this sickness about watching stories at the expense of others. What a sicko world.

One thing to learn from the experiences of others....another just to do it for entertainment.

This is a quote from the movie I'm watching right now.

WH says to OW (whom he claims to still love even though staying with W): "It's like in medical school when you first cut into a corpse, you know you don't belong there, but you've made a committment."

Well ICK to that! I don't know that I want H to stay out of obligation, is that really what he feels or is that still the fog? I would hate to know he really really did love her and stayed with me because if he does love her like that then he can't be loving me, and there must be someone out there who will. These are just thoughts too many lifetime movies obviously.

Feel free to ignore this post, I'm beginning to wish I could delete it.

Orchid - I agree, with you 100%. Also, this is a money making business, and that is what sells the most. Hatred, anger, betrayal, who's sleeping with whom, the best sex, money being taken from the family. This is what this nation likes, lies, deceit, and we enforce them to make movies, cause they sell at the movie theatres, and look what people watch on TV.

I have to admit, that there are more and more of this on TV now, that adultery is a widespread disease. Just like the people who are considered gays, and lesbians. There is more public speaking on this issue too. Just like the molesting of the little girl who was 7, the molestations, are being spoken out. Also, the priests and their sinful acts.

This is a corrupt world, and our WS's are in the sinful act of the corrupt. Some WS's don't see anything wrong with what they did, for instance my WS. He feels no remorse or guilt for his sexual affair. He feels this family is not suffering, and the kids are not suffering. Satan is taking over this world, and those of us who are stronger, or not falling for his trap. Yes, we are hurting and I would say more, cause we knew what is right or wrong. And our WS's didn't know, and their faith was not strong.

In church my pastor talked about adultery, and what it does to families. How kids of all ages, are affected. I feel he was preaching about me. Cause he and I talked quite a while a month ago. He said, my kids (16-24) are severly hurt, and in need of counseling. The counselor we went to recently, said the same. Our kids are messed up, and don't know what to do.

Also, now that my WS had an affair, he wants to write a book. Cause he knows it will sell. I personally would like everyone in the United States to oppose reading any material of this kind, and start reading the bible, or religious facts about our christian way.

After all, God gave his only son, to serve for our punishment, and let him die on the cross. What more could our Father do, than to give up his son. That was an act beyond anything I could think of.

Maybe we should inform some of the people writing these movies, to look at MB, and the other sites, and have them read all the despair, the depression, the suicidal attempts, the pain from the family, the spouse, the kids. Let them see if it is really worth doing a movie, at the expense of all of us that are hurting. I wish God would use his power, and strike all wayward spouses with a big red A on their forhead. Therefore they can walk down the street, with this big RED A, and everyone would know that they committed sin. I wish God would edit the movies. But you know, when I was a child, the worst we saw was a killing on Disney, of Bambi, Old Yeller.

Look at the gorsteque commercials of Victoria Secret. It is actually porn, with the skimpy bodies, and the provacative manner of their bodies. The Abercrombie and Fitch clothing store, many states are not allowing the kids to wear their clothes, because of the porn advertisements on TV, and the catalogue. They have men between womans legs, with skimpy underwear on, and maybe a shirt hanging open, and the womans breast are almost exposed. I saw the interview on TV, and this is all this world wants. SEX & more SEX. Showing of bodies, and men and women rubbing bodies. This is so gross.

Like my wayward husband, he keeps saying his affair wasn't sexual. You read his e-mails, and they started talking about sex, way before they met. How she was not fulfilled, and my husband was not fulfilled. And of course after they did their thing in the hotels, their e-mails were all about how great the sex was.

Maybe my wayward husband was veiwing too many commericials. Maybe that is what the wayward spouses are doing, looking at all these porno commercials, and getting a desire to get anyone. Who knows.

But that is why I watch very little movies, plus there are more things to do in life. Like read, get on the computer and look for things, and take care of the animals, and kids. Also, the phone is a good element to converse with someone who will respect you.

Just my thought, sorry to get so detailed, but this was a good thread, and this hurts like heck. Not only do we experience the pain firsthand, but we have to view it, and this is baloney.

I find myself cringing when I think that a movie is going to "go there". I told my FWH the other night that it really gets to me, he said, I noticed.

We were watching the Enron movie last night and he was "checking out" the girls in the office and walked to the parking lot with one. I told my FWH, if this turns into a movie about betraying his W, I'm not watching it.

They make me sick! I know that it happens, but I don't have to watch it and relive the pain.

However, I find myself equally saddened by the "perfect" mate or wedding or relationship movies as well. Hopefully this too shall pass.
