Just wondered - I am 39 today and it sure as f*** doesn't mean anything to my H...... Well, it means something to my girls (my SDs) and my mates, but not the man I spent the last 13 years with. C'est la vie.....

LiL:

yes, it does! What's with that goof, anyway?

I can't remember, he's the WS, right?

My W threw me a fun, casual party for my B-day (today also) on Sunday. Weather was great and I saw friends I haven't seen in years.

She's the WS. She still doesn't always know about "us", but at least she makes it obvious that she's "trying" in her own way. I won't forget her B-day either. Did THAT once about 10 years ago, and it still comes up from time to time, but less now that I do "more."

Happy birthday!

Q - thanks, but hey no. I am FWS, but now he is WS and I have been in Plan B since Jan 9th. I missed his b'day too because of that (in Feb), so I guess, I can't complain, but I miss him, how he treated me, my pressies he gave me and the fuss he made of me. It is so very hard.....

Lisa,
Even if he cared ( and perhaps he does some) he wouldn't contact you after your plan B letter.

I looked up your thread this afternoon but knew I did not have time to do the thinking necessarry to post properly to you.

It's been this way a lot the past few weeks. There are times when life does not seem kind. Today seems to be one of them for you. I wish there were something we could say that would make it all better, warmer, richer for you but there is not. You still have to live out each day.

Words are not enough, "we care' doesn't convey things properly. You do have friends that would help more if we could somehow. I hope you know that.

Also,
Happy Birthday.

AS I said to Qfwfq earlier today, (or was it yesterday) I would sing happy birthday, but you wouldn't like it, so I'll just type it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Happy Birthday Lisa! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

My H ignored my b-day last week too. With the minimal communication between us, I honestly expected not to hear a peep out of him that day. Somehow expecting nothing from him, and surrounding myself with family and friends who cared helped me to get through the day.

After the fact, my H admitted it was a difficult day for him to get through. The first time I slept with OM was on the night we went out to celebrate my H's b-day last spring (day after his b-day actually), so he probably figured I deserved a crappy b-day too. Understandable I guess. Although, I never actually asked him why he ignored it...I guess I should.

I know it's hard to spend a b-day alone without him for the first time in 13 years, mine was the first alone after 12 years. So spend time with friends and family, treat yourself to some pampering, and don't worry about a man who is well beyond your control. Look after you Lisa! You deserve the best!

Thank you all for your kind words and birthday wishes.

Sometimes, there are bad days, and other times there are good days. In my heart I didn't expect to hear from H, but although I can accept my situation, I guess there was a little part of me that so wanted a call or a card. I think it also hurt that I heard nothing from my MIL. My mum sent H a card with some money, but I suppose people are all different.

I think it also just confirms that I know that it is over with H and time to start the next step towards moving on.

Thank you again to all the MB superstars. I did in the main enjoy my day, it just seemed that something was missing....
