rep. marilyn musgrave (r, colo.) has proposed an amendment to the US Constitution that would would make it impossible for gay couples to marry. i'm really not interested in debating the merits of this issue one way or the other ... it's not the intent of this thread.
what i found interesting is a quote in an article, in today's rocky mountain news, from bill maier, colorado vp of focus on the family. he said:
same-sex marriages threaten "the very foundation of society. the federal marriage amendment is the only sure way to protect the institution of marriage from being dismantled by gay activists and radical deconstructionist judges."
by the looks of it here, lots of God fearing and moral hetersexuals have done a pretty good job at assailing the institution already. are we sure that homosexuals would do worse?
