Update - Finally the divorce is finalized. I had to meet my wife once because my attorney said it would be in my best interest to do so. I met her at the coffee shop and kept it official business. Melody, question for you. The kids and I are getting along very well and they seem to have adapted. I dated a couple times, but have taken a step back to just focus on my kids, career (changing it) and my physical shape (getting back into the shape I was in). Hard to attract what you are looking for if you are not where you would like to be.
So we just had Thanksgiving and the kids spent the day with us. My brother and I are also taking them to the keys in Jan.
Melody, my question is..my wife spent Thanksgivimg with her mother. i have this thought that the affair is not there and for some teason I want to reach out to her. i was going through pictures while i finished unpacking and i found some cards she has given me in better times. i know in my heart that i will be fine...after all that rambling..question is, is this all normal as far as feelings??
I feel like if I met someone, I would be fine. That gives me hope that my feelings are normal and I'll be fine.

She is not the right person for you. This is a woman who put you through hell for many years and has a history of being callous and unloving. I would strongly recommend you don't give into that temptation because it is a hopeless situation. You could be spending time on productive things that would bring you happiness. Please don't walk back into the fire!
