My wife had an affair approximately two months ago. I am having a hard time forgiving and forgetting. I need help in what to do. I am told to focus on the future, but it is hard to do that when the thought keeps popping up in my head. What do I do to get those thoughts out of my head and to move forward?

Thank you very much for the reply. I just hope that I am able to move forward and not back. She is ready to move forward but I don't think that I am ready. I keep holding on to the feelings of what this has done to me.

About one month ago now. And yes, it is over. It was just a one time thing. I want to believe it, but it is hard to. We have been married for over eleven years and have two boys.
