Please pray today. Our 24 year old daughter has been diagnosed with preeclamsia in her pregnancy. Baby's due date was June 9th. But the baby has not been growning and even with hopitalization and complete bed rest conditions have not improved.
The neonatologist said yesterday the baby would be better taken care of by being born now. So this morning (Tuesday April 16th) my daughter is being induced into labor. The baby is a girl and the doctor thinks she weighs close to 3 lbs. It is 32 weeks into the pregnancy. Every indication are that the baby is fine and will thrive after birth.
Please agree with us today that that will be the case and it will be a quick and easy delivery.
Thanks so much for your prayers. This site has been a lifeline for me in recent weeks. When it rains, it pours....
God Bless~ amazingrace

Update: Our granddaughter was born today (Tuesday April 16th) at 5:10 PM. She is perfect! Weighing 3 lbs. 2 oz., 17 inches long, she didn't even have to be ventilated at all! The doctor said she's doing as well as a full term baby, quite not what they'd expect for a baby being born at 32 weeks!
Thanks for anyone who included my daughter and baby in their prayers today!
amazingrace

OH that is AWESOME! Your grandbaby is off to a terrific start. 3+ lbs and no vent! WONDERFUL! I'm sure she will be fine! My twins were born at 26 weeks, ventilated for a couple of months--micro-preemies. They are 7 now, special needs, and happy, OH such happy kids! I'm sure your granddaughter will be JUST FINE! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm sure this was scary for all of you. God is good!
