How long did it take for you to see the pain your spouse was in? My ex-H seems to feel nothing but anger and coldness toward me. I only discovered the affair seven months ago. Is there any hope he will someday feel guilt and remorse instead of the hatred he seems to feel now? Can a person go forever and never look back? He normally is a very sensitive person.
AD

It has been said to me that the anger and hatred is from guilt. I hope this is true cause that is what my w does to me also.
I dont know if they will ever look back and see what could have been or look foward to see what can be.
I pray each night that she will someday stop and take a look around.
------------------
brownphdt

Yes, AD, I believe that Dr Brown is correct. I have read that there is a direct inverse relationship between anger & guilt. The more anger you feel (justified or not), the less guilt you feel for doing what you did. It's your mind's way of rationalizing what you did. Sounds like your H hasn't or isn't able to come to terms with what he did.
