OY--did I get your screennames right? It's hard to know your real names and keep up with the ever-changing alphabet soup that is TTSMM/IIHHN.

Gentleman, I have a special word for you tonite, and since I am NOT particularly thinking clearly, I'm going to get right to it...

If I don't THINK different, I will not LIVE different. In order to change, I need to live differently, and I can't live differently if I don't think differently. The root is changing my THOUGHTS.

Where the mind goes, the man will follow. Where does my mind go?

Trying to figure out everything (worrying, using MY understanding to understand things, etc.) is an offense to the Holy Spirit because I'm saying "I don't trust you." TRUST is faith, belief, conviction--and letting go.

If my life is a big mess, my MIND is a big mess. To straighten up my life, I need to straighten up my mind.

If evil thoughts keep coming into my mind and I keep casting them down, stop it and meditate upon something good. Discipline my mind to concentrate on godly thoughts. I don't have to sit around empty-headed...CHOOSE LIFE!

Don't just get rid of evil--fill up with good. It's not enough to stop evil--start doing the right thing!!

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is staid on Thee."

It's easy to "meditate" on what is wrong with your spouse and your spouse's faults. CHOOSE one of your spouse's virtues and dwell on that. Meditate on that and discipline your thoughts.

When you wake up in the morning there is a battle between good and evil to have your mind and thoughts for the day. When you wake up list ten things for which you are thankful and have your mind renewed every day.

CHOOSE to believe the best of every person AND EVERY SITUATION (even this one!). We can choose the worst or choose the best, so CHOOSE the best!

Your sister,

CJ

Ok,

I think Dr. Charles Stanley is getting his sermon ideas from you.

This weekend, I heard him preach on Frustration, and yesterday's sermon was on worry.

Are you writing his sermons, LOL?

CJ,
God truly knows ALL, and everything that will happen.

I just now finished saying "Her Husband" prayer from "The Power of a Praying Husband".

"Show me where my attitudes and thoughts are not what You would have them to be,especially toward my wife."

I paused on those words. I was listening to Dan and Erin Thiele (restorem.org) tape in the car yesterday, and she talked about slandering our spouses. That along with the prayer line above, I asked Jesus to keep my thoughts (and responsiliblty) on my actions, not hers.

From now on when I meet someone (in person/online) here's the deal: "I had an affair almost 6 years ago. There were problems in the marriage, but I did not need to have an affair. That was my choice. I was very slimy around it. I understand why my wife doesn't want to save our marriage. I hurt her too much."

For me I found tremendous power in that. I was trying (ttsmm ) to be humnble before the Lord. This also opened me up to accepting that I have many problems I have to deal with and that only He, can bind my wounds and that of my wife's.

Yes right now, I'm very positive in trusting in the Lord. Please remind of this posting when you see me down.

"All things are possible through God."

God bless,
ItsInHisHandsNow
