Hola, folks.
My wife's favorite recreational activity is reading. For her, it's the only time she feels like she can escape the pressures of every day life. It's what she looks forward to most.
So, I, being a good initiate into the concepts here, would like to find a way to "share" this activity with her and make it a joint activity that we can enjoy together.
Any suggestions on how we can do this?

I, too, enjoy reading books. I also like reading articles on the net and H complains that these activities are too independent. I hadn't thought of ways that a couple could do these things together until just now, but what about having dates at the library or bookstore? In our community, both of these places have coffee shops in them and hubby is very good about buying me a chai tea and following me around the aisles even though books aren't his thing. Of course once we're home and I have my book open... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />
The one time H felt included in my reading, we were going through books on intimacy together. We semi read the books at the same time. Perhaps there is a topic you could both sink your teeth into and read a book -- or each have your own copy -- and discuss it together?
Maybe others have better ideas. I agree that escaping reality behind a book or in front of a computer screen doesn't always help a marriage that needs more undivided attention.
