After being separated for over a year now, this
Christmas I'm going to spend part of the morning
with H. I have to say I'm absolutely worried to
death. My H will be staying with our daughter. My
daughter wants me to come over Christmas
morning to open gifts. I really do want to go
but then again I don't. I am still so very hurt. I
think I've told all of you before I am still very
much in Love with my H. H lives in Ohio now. I
really do miss him terribly. I want to go over there
really looking GREAT!! I've lost over 35 lbs. since
he left me. My weight use to be a big issue
with him. Any ideas???

Yes. Go out and buy yourself a really great outfit to wear. Have a makeover--new makeup, new hairdo...the works!
Before then, go out and do some fun things that you can talk about to your daughter---that H will overhear.
Be calm, cool, and collected, but sweeter'n he!!. And, SMILE a lot!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I agree with sweetpea! You can even do this with limited funds. I love to shop thrift stores and even buying a new sweater can lift your spirits and I never spend over $5 for entire outfit! Check your local paper for low cost or freebie type events. Even volunteer somewhere that helps whoever you are working with and I always had great stories to tell (I use to volunteer at Children's Hospital ER). Pamper yourself alot by taking a long candlelit bath listening to christmas music, give yourself a manicure and a pedicure, take your time with your make-up and hair all the while sipping a glass of wine (or hot choc if you don't drink) then make your grand appearance! I'll be praying for you!

I agree with the others ... make him realize what he's given up!! Get some rest!!!!! Don't go over there looking like you've worked 16 out of 24 hours (duh????). [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Anyhow, I'm glad an effort is being made to reunit the family for Christmas morning. Is son included?

I agree with the others as well. Especially the part about doing something special for yourself. Treating yourself will make you feel good about yourself and give you a boost of self confidence, inner glow, shining radiance... If funds are a problem, instead of going out invite some friends over and have a bake off or craft day to prepare for the upcoming holidays. Have everybody bring their own supplies as well as a lunch/dinner/appetizer depending on the time of day. Make a party of it. Maybe invite your daughter as well so you can talk about how fun it was when you go over there on Christmas morning.
------------------
Love and Prayers
Nicole

Everybody has hit the nail on the head. GO looking great. That alone will make you feel great. Walk in with your head held high, and enjoy your Christmas.
Viki
I agree with everyone here.
Someone on this forum once told me, I think it was FHL, to go and be Charming, disarming and cheerful! It was great advise and it worked especially considering it was when he was in heavy withdrawal.
Good luck and be sure and tell us how it went. Will be praying for you!
------------------
God bless you and all of us.
Samantha
