Hey Everybody,
I had the great privilige of meeting a fellow MB poster (although he no longer posts) over the weekend. He has been my mentor for the past several months counseling me almost daily. He was in my state on business and took the time to meet me for dinner.
We had a great time talking with one another and hit it off really well. It was like seeing a close friend you hadn't seen in a long time. BTW, his user name is "vmv" (I hope he doesn't mind me saying so).
Has anyone else had the pleasure of meeting a fellow MBer? - I'm just curious. I know of someone who has met a fellow MB poster.
I am looking forward to a weekend with Samantha and maybe one more MB lady, Hopefully: this summer!!!! We want to spend the entire weekend praying together for our marriages.
I feel like no one else I know understands why we would work so hard at our marriages. It is really going to be neat.

Cracker doesn't post or reply anymore, but in the past, we have made phone calls to each other. We still e-mail each other too. In fact, I heard from her today!

Me, too!
Viki (pondvj) and I live pretty close to each other and met through this board - we've become great friends. I speak w/ several people by phone and, just this weekend, Robert, Viki and I had dinner with Frank (PLEASE HELP) who was in town for a golf thingy. (We took pictures of Sheba and Ceecee along and placed them in the middle of the table, so they wouldn't feel left out!! VMV is doing great! Wisdom is his gift- that is for sure. He knows when to console and when to kick me in the pants. He's about 8 months ahead of me in the recovery process and things are getting better for him (and me) as the days pass.
We found there were a lot of similarities in our situations and he continues to be a wise counselor and a great friend in pulling me through. Thank God he took me under his wing.
It was a great experience getting to meet a fellow MBer. My cup runneth over. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
SHA

Hi Bystander, buddy, buddy!
This man has become my friend forever.
When my husband was in the psyche ward and I had to fly to NY on his behalf with his power of attorney, Bystander met me there and spent the next couple days supporting me, educating me and distracting me from the OW and the OC. He explained legal things to me and talked with my attorney about support laws. We went to dinner a couple times and laughed and had fun, too.
Bystander and his wife are expecting their 4th child this coming fall so let's all Think Pink for Bystander and his wonderful wife, C, who is also my friend.
Bystander also is extremely knowledgable and passionate about unjust support laws. He's funny, interesting and excellent at taking one's mind off unpleasant subjects.
Catnip =^^=
[This message has been edited by catnip (edited May 08, 2000).]
