Well my kids were in an all star baseball game tonight and the whole town turned out for the game. Everyone was talking to me and my h was very much alone making small talk to just a few people. Nothing like he used to be.
His reputation is so shot in town. In a strange way, it makes me feel so good. People go out of their way to talk to me and many people just walk by him.
One of the single guys he plays baseball with, who my h thinks is such a great guy came up to me and started to talk to me. Just the two of us. When he sees me he always compliments me. I get bashful around him but tonight I told myself its ok to talk to this guy. Well wouldn't you know it, my h comes walking up to us and talks about picking up the kids in the morning. Normally he just gives the kids the message to give to me. Why he felt the need to come up to me I don't know. I think He did not like the idea that I was talking to this guy that he thinks is a great guy and who is single. This guy said to my h I guess I'll see you Sunday and my h just walked away from him and would not look back at him. RUDE!
Ya know another thing, when people find out you are seperated, they look to try to set you up. Another friend of ours had told me last week that he wanted me to meet his friend Chuck. Well, Chuck shows up at the game tonight as well. I didn't put two and two together until almost the end of the game when I realised that this guy did not look familiar but he was very friendly to me and talked to me all night. So, I am sure My h saw that as well.
I in no way went looking for this attention but it just came my way tonight. It was so strange because Like I said before everyone in town was there and all eyes were on me and my h to see if anything would happen.
Not sure if h felt a little bad tonight or what but It made me feel good...I think just having other people pay attention to you is a treat every now and then.
Just thought I would share that with you. Did any other ws out there get jealous when they would see there h/w talking to someone that seemed interested in them? Would like to hear feedback.

Alright for you Missy!
You deserve the attention. I believe H was jealous, I think it opened his eyes a bit. He sees you as his wife, no matter what he's telling you, and to see you talking with other men brings out primal reactions. Makes him start thinking. [could I lose her?, not MY Missy!]
Although jealousy is not one of my favorite emotions, as a matter of fact, I think it can be destructive.
But in your case, I think it does him good to see you're very attractive to other men.
I'm gonna bet he gets in contact w/you really soon. He'll make some excuse to talk and/or see you. I bet it happens within the week.
I've noticed something really interesting about the infidelity behavior of men. (oh sure, now I'm an expert, Dr. Ruth of adultery) When my H was going thru this A and the one prior, he exhibited jealousy over me. He never has really been a jealous guy, but for whatever reason during his affairs, he is and it's pretty ugly.
I'm glad to see you're getting out and doing things, not hiding out. You're one brave cookie! I really admire that. Keep making your presence none Missy. You need to be around ppl and I know all these good folks must feel for you.
My blessing to you Missy.
Jo
------------------

Josie_Res@Hotmail.com
"Remain flexible like a reed, as opposed to an oak that will snap in the wind"

Way to go Missy!!! I will be waiting to hear some new news. He will surely make another move.
It does make them wonder. I couldn't do that with my H...he was with me at the sporting events in the spring. He wants to keep up the good guy image, because he knows how tarnished it has gotton.

Missy:
What a welcome salve...two-fold at that..unexpected attention resulting in a little jealousy on the part of your H.
Perhaps he realizes that you're not dead just because he's missing in action from your marriage. Good for you.
Yes, jealousy is a powerful emotion...but I don't think a little is too harmful. When my husband left the first time, he was gone for six months and late in that period I began an preliminary attachment to another man. This was barely more then just a friendship, but when H found out about it he didn't like it. Within two weeks he was making plans to get rid of OW and come home which he did eventually. Unfortunately he never gave her up completely and she has continued to pop up in our lives...hence the second separation. I really think, however, it was wanting to keep both women in his life that was the motivator more then jealousy.
What is really important is the boost this gave your self esteem...we could all use that from time to time...and the fact that it made your H uncomfortable is just a plus.
He should never get too comfortable with the idea that you'll always be there waiting for him.
Buffy
