Hello Friends,
I have a friend who is going thru marital probs. Her and H have experienced 2 or maybe 3 A (serial cheater) in their 17 year long marriage. The H is the WS. The last A occured exactly one year ago. They recovered from it and both wanted the marriage back badly. They have two children.
Now 1 year later and the H is saying he's not happy and wants to leave the marriage. Says the only reason he's staying is for the children. H says he will not do anything to work on the marriage, no counseling. Says they can live together as friends and even have sex if she wants, but absolutely no romance. He wants his space. H says that she has been wonderful in the last year and a model wife.
Her H says there is not an OW this time, but he shows all the classic MB symptoms, in addition he is demonstarting the typical traits from the previous A.
My friend is not a firm believer in God. I have pointed her to this forum and she wants to read SAA too, she's desperate.
My question is what else can I do for her besides be there. I want her to know there are other ways of dealing with an A other than blatant confrontation and angry outbursts. Any ideas?
Jo
------------------
Josie_Res@Hotmail.com
"Remain flexible like a reed, as opposed to an oak which can snap in the wind"
[This message has been edited by Resilient (edited June 27, 2000).]
