My heart goes out to you, Scared. I've not gotten that far, with my H. yet. He has moved out, but where I don't know. I know that his OW is out of state, and he is still in town because I see him every day. I am sorry, but I think you should file papers NOW to make sure your needs are met and that you are not left being responsible for his mistake. Find a good female lawyer, and make sure you and your children are taken care of. If you leave it to him, the OW may influence his decision as to what is "right" by you and the children. Don't wait, make your needs known now. He could file against you for custody, for you to pay him Spousal Support, or deny you support for anything, FIle NOW. I will check in a few days from now. I wish yo luck, and my prayers are with you. gn

Only you can be the best judge of whether your H will properly support you.
...but...
If you need to protect yourself legally (and/or financially)... I usually make the recommendation of finding a good attorney. A good place to start off is at the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Search site. Do a search within your county... look for only "family law" specialists(>80% in divorce/custody/etc.)... make sure they do a lot of "family law committee work"... if they know the judges all the better... You can normally find a few that will give initial counseling free of charge.
USLaw.com (an alternative search site)
You have my prayers...
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Jim

Have an appointment with woman attorney monday. Will probably start legal separation. I was wondering is anyone has had this happen and if WS came home after living with someone else. It's an added insult to me. I think I could cope better if he just moved out on his own. But with him living with OW I feel like he is sending me a message to get a divorce and get out of his life. Even the kids feel this when he says he will call and does not cause other things come up. Do I wait six months, 9 months and then start divorce if he has not left her after that time. Even then will he come home to me or not.
Frustrutating the most is that I do not know why he was unhappy with me. H just says he doesn't know, it just happened.
Help
Scared
