I know my H looks at Internet porn. I have caught him at it, yet he still denies it. I will walk in unexpectedly and see it on the screen, and he will cut it off quickly and say it was a pop-up. He will also get instant messages containing "cybersex" language, and he will say he doesn't know who it is. I have only caught him this way a few times. Usually he will minimize all the windows as soon as I open the door. He always "plays on the computer" with the door shut, and does it for at least a couple of hours every day. I have questioned him, and he denies anything inappropriate. I checked the internet history about 2 years ago, and 80% of it was porn sites- a lot of them were really graphic, too. He says all those internet history entires were pop-ups.

Since early on in our marriage, his email account has been strictly off-limits to me, since I once innocently signed on to his name to look up something in the first month of our marriage. He has his passcodes stored, everything. We have separate computers, but mine does not have internet access. He doesn't even like me being in the room where his computer is located, and when he finds me on his computer (to use the Internet) he gets upset and acts like I'm doing something wrong.

Every time I think I've found blatant proof, he finds a way to deny it. I know he's looking at porn, which bothers me, but I also am 99.9% sure he engages in cybersex and online EA's, which is MUCH worse. Okay, that's the situation, so here are my two questions:

1) I was looking at my screen name profile, and decided I would look at his, out of curiousity (it's always bothered me that he has his marital status on it left blank). Under "personal quote", it had a link to a porn site- the link said "Check out this hot chick I've been seeing, look at her great nude pics!!!" I was astounded, but I new he wouldn't purposefully put that there, where I or any other family member/friend could see it. I questioned him about it, and he seemed genuinely surprised. I checked the next day, and he had taken that line off his profile. Is it truly possible that someone could have accessed his profile and put that on there (this is what he wants me to believe)? Or did he have to go to that site for this to get onto his profile?

Second question- H is very computer literate, and now deletes his internet history daily. I know nothing else to do to check up on his computer use. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi P,
You already know he has a problem with Porn, you know he hides it, and you know he lies about it.

Your questions should be alone the lines of what to do about it, not "does he have a problem."

Please don't buy his excuses. If it comes up, your response need to be along the lines of "We both know you look at porn, and we both know you lie about it to me, question is what should I do about it?"

I think there are people here that may have some suggestions for you, if we can just get them to come and offer them. Many of us only come by occasionally - so it may take a while.
