Sorry cl
It was very late when I got home last night and son had a major headache. Was watching close for signs of a concussion. Not a pretty sport he plays.
You would have been proud! If you were to ask anyone there I would have won the pleasantest parent award. There were strangers form the other team giving me hugs. Someone's Grandmother was talking to me. A little girl came and sat with me...
Put it this way - I was the only mom talking to the other team. I know this is something the bimbo will never know - but I know.
Here's the best part - it hardly bothered me at all to be there. In fact it felt good in an evil way to be there without HER knowledge. I took it back and she was the one unaware of my presence. I'm glad H wasn't with me. It was something I needed to do by myself.
Last year we went to a tournament in the town she lived in previously. That bothered me more than this and I thought they were just "friends" then.
I think I got over another hurdle.
BTW the boys lost but Son scored the best goal of the game for me. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

A V*I*C*T*O*R*Y for you!
Seriously, sometimes what we are dreading the most is a non event and some little trigger we may not even recognize makes us stumble. Hmmm.
Hey, are they changing the name of the town to wasstubbornville?
------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Samantha
sorry I missed your post before.
Did it feel good to write the letter?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
How is your daughter?
FHL
I realized it really is all in the perspective.
When I was there yesterday I thought about what kind of reception the bimbo would get there. Not likely that anyone would be approaching her.
I live to be friendly and nice to others and that's why I'm approachable.
Our two biggest boys (6'6" and 6'4") wer kicked out of the game. They came and sat in the stands on either side of me. I'm everybody's mom. It made me feel good knowing that I am a much nicer person than bimbo. This was one of the best things I could have done for me.
I did a tiny bit of lovebusting with H.
The only thing that bothered me yesterday was that man drove all that way dozens of times in terrible weather, just to be with a guttertramp like that. I told him that.
I am trying to be honest here. I'm not going to lie to him and say everything was just dandy. That part hurt. I didn't get into it - just let him know how much that part bothered me.

Thanks for all your support Desiree!
Now I know that the best thing for me is to take action and make these places belong to me. I feel soooo...much better. Should have gone there months ago. Avoidance is not my style.
Son seems to be okay. The headache could have been from the three other yacky boys in the car and the four SMELLY hockey bags.
Just have to watch for these things since it is a pretty physical game and he is pretty little compared to his attitude. Someone should really tell him that he is the smallest guy out there! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)

Way to Go, WS!!!!!!
I was praying that this would be a healing event for you!!!!
You sound great and I think that you are so right......Perspective, non-avoidance are very key!!!!
Isn't it interesting that H thought you shouldn't go? Perhaps some Avoidance mildew in the brain room? Like you could possibly put that over seeing your son play.......
Good example of avoidance keeping oneself from closeness to family as well as not putting things to rest....
You confronted your nightmare and overcame it. Now it can be at rest!!!
ATTAGIRL!!!!!
HUGS,
Sheba

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
A huge vicotry all around. Son scored brilliantly and you won back your independence! Yippeeeee!! There is no place left now WS, there are no important secrets-nothing hidden. You mentioned once that there might be some questions you shouold ask h.
WHY????? I am not asking you to explain here, just know that it has no effect on your relationship with your h now. You two are making amazing progress, so keep moving forward. WS is the victor, guttersloth is just that-a guttersloth!!
(((hugs))) cl

WS...Congratulations on defeating another Trigger. I hope that someday, I will have the strength to go to the town where my H's ex-Bimbo lives (during pre-affair, I used to love shopping in the village where she lives).
I'm proud of you. You did good!
Sheba
Absolutely right. My H is the avoider. Guess that's why this whole walking on eggshell thing gets to me. If there is a problem Face it. I'm not good at tiptoeing.
lexi
You should see my T-shirt collection. My kids just shake their heads. I have two favorites for the refs at hockey. If they are really bad I flash them. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
Lori
You have too much faith in me but remember I have faith in you too! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
cl
I think there are still some secrets that need to come out in the open. Just a feeling but there is just something there. Can't put my finger on it but....
chick's
You should be sleeping in. Good girl!
I confess I had a nap today. Guess yesterday took more out of me than I thought.
Samantha
I'm not sure I'm doing everything right. I think maybe I'm making it right for me. Battle that old brain you know. Make it work in your favor.
NoTrust.
I thought of you while I did this. I wish I could be there to do it with you. It is one of the best things I ever did for me and I didn't ALLOW her to intrude on my day.
Not strength - stubborness!
She is so "nothing" to me today. It'shard to explain but I do feel a lot freer. You'll get there! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
