My husband says all of our money and marital problems the past 10 years are all my fault and I am the reason we have poor credit. I agree with some of this but not all.We have 5 children and recently, he beat me up in front of them. He said I provoked him and we have never fought (physically) before. He won't tell me he loves me he says he can't and that he can't trust me and I have lied to him and decived him all these years RE:money. I love him and want to save my marriage, but I'm so alone and don't know where to turn to. He won't go to counceling. What do I do? I have no family besides him. His family has never liked me. I feel so lost

Heyaneesa,<BR>Pick up the phone and call your local battered women's shelter or support group. I'm sure there's more than one in Chicago. Beating you up is inexcusable. Doing it in front of the children is unbelievable. You need support from experts. Your husband needs immeidate help also. It sounds like he's having serious psychologcial/emotional problems. My opinion is once he gets himself in control in that respect, then you can work to save your marriage. Good luck and God bless.

Hi Mary, thanks for the advice. Question: Am I stupid for wanting to salvage this marriage? Sometimes I feel so dependent, like I can live w/o him. Alot of things that have happended in our marriage (financial) have been MY FAULT. I'm just confused....I know somewhere in his heart he must still love me or he wouldn't still be at home, right?
