I lived with my now husband for a 1 1/2 years before we got married. Before we moved in together we had decided to get married but wanted to wait one more year. We had talked about what it meant to both of us to be married and it seemed that we both understood the committment of marriage.
We have only been married for 6 months and our lives are so different. We are finishing our last year of college and that keeps us both busy. He also has a job. The last three months have been terrible for both of us. When he doesn't work he wants to go to the bar with his friends and doesn't give me details, just I am going to the bar.
He even said to me one day that he wanted to be able to do his own thing.
We just go in a huge fight the other day and after hours of arguing we both agreed that things are different from before. We use to sit up all night and talk or just lay on the couch and snuggle and neither of us can remember when that happened. He is afraid that I am going to leave him. I don't want to, I believe that we can work through it, but now he feels that he is not good enough for our marriage and that I am a better person.

Have you tried to write him a letter? Sometimes, you can sit down and really think things through, about what you want to say and it will come out right. Leave him notes around the house, ie-good morning on the coffee pot or you look sexy on the mirror. Do you initiate going out to places with him? When he says he is going to the bar, do you say, Ok, let me get my purse. Or when he comes home say"do you want to spend the evening with me like we use to"
I hope somehting works for you. It sounds like you two really do love one another, the spark just needs to be lit....good luck
